Tates Creek took a pounding from Dixie Heights and Dunbar put a pounding on Madison Central. Since the played to a 1 point game to start they are really in a 5a and 5b slot than 5 and 6. Lexington Catholic lost to Boyle County but they have beaten Bryan Station who beat Tates Creek who beat Dunbar. So that is how spots 3 - 6 were determined. There is no formula - but at this time of the year the picture starts to solidify. Scott County (6-0) Henry Clay (6-0) Lexington Catholic (4-3) Bryan Station (3-2) Tates Creek (4-3) Dunbar(4-2) Lafayette (1-6) Madison Central (1-6) LCA (1-5)
Bluegrasscard
With last nights Dunbar win its time for a major reshuffle of Bluegrass Area rankings. As I will be offline starting tonight for the next week I want to do the update this afternoon. Dunbar jumps over Bryan Station and Tates Creek. Paul Rains has the Bulldogs on a roll. Coach Rains did wonders with LCA at the lower end of overall state enrollment. Imagine the possibilities with one of the states largest schools. Scott County (6-0) Henry Clay (6-0) Lexington Catholic (4-3) Dunbar (5-2) Bryan Station (3-3) Tates Creek (4-3) Lafayette (1-6) Madison Central (1-6) LCA (1-5)
GOINGFOR2
Interesting to me that Dunbar jumps Tates creek when Tates Creek beat Dunbar head to head and only lost to ranked teams Henry Clay by 1 score and Station by 10. Tates creek beat Dunbar who beat Station who beat Creek. Why would anyone move any direction on that? But hey, it's your poll, I have no issue with it. Just discussing. That game was week 1 and 1 point. I think Dunbar is improving as the season goes on. Of course TC should as well. I am just glad we have some discussion on the Lexington/Bluegrass area schools. Keep it coming!
GOINGFOR2
Bluegrass, I understand so much the feeling. Folks have such a negative energy towards Lexington football. So many great players come through Lexington and peple are quick to turn their noses up at these kids and teams. There should be more discussion about these teams and kids. And I will do my part in fostering just that.
