I think we got your point...the only reason the Camels came back in this game was due to the refs. Whatever. Let's give the Camels credit for showing their heart and let's give Holmes credit for holding on for the win. This type of post is what makes me want to root against the posters team.

I was making a general statement that there are not that many. I knew Drew had the field goal percentage but did not realize he was 50% from 3. I stand corrected that 2 players from the same team hold those stats. Maybe that and Pangallo running the point is why NCC is one of the best teams in the state.

I think Weyer's stats speak for themselves. Those are not including his 2 blocks per game and around 8 rebounds. Tell me another 6'6" or taller player in the region that is averaging 60% from the floor and almost 45% from 3 Pt range? There may be only a few in the state that can claim stats like that for a big man.

Coach Bo for Campbell County should be the front runner. New coach, applying a new system with a very young team. They are coming on strong at the end of the season and the girls are buying in. Huge turnaround after last years dibacle with the basketball program and the administration.

7th grade girls HMS over Twenhofel. HMS moves on to the finals. Pretty sure it will be against Conner. HMS lost by almost 30 the first time they met this year. Hopefully we see a different game this time and Conner isn't hitting 3's. Good luck Birds!

Add Coastal Carolina and Boston University to the list. I think his list will keep growing over the summer with AAU ball. Ben is great kid on and off the court. He is great in the classroom as well. Good luck Ben!

Just my opinion, but he has to go down as one of the best soccer coaches in NKY high school history. Heck, even in the state. How many coaches can say they stayed at the same program for 21 years and had the success that he has had. He did it all with a small school none the less. Congrats to Coach Goller on an outstanding coaching career. I don't think he realizes how much influence he had on so many young men, that is what made him such a great coach.

This is a great hire for Brossart. Really hate to see Coach Goller retire. I am a CCHS grad but always had the utmost respect for Coach Goller and the way he ran his program. I will never forget his kind words after losing to them in the district championship my senior year. Congrats to Coach Goller on a great coaching career.

Since there are only about 2 weeks left in the regular season, who are your picks to reach the finals of the Girls Middle School tourney? After watching several games this year, this is what I see from the Large School division. 6th Grade- Twenhofel, Turkeyfoot (Highlands, CCHS have a chance) 7th Grade- Conner, Highlands (Holmes) 8th Grade- Highlands, Conner. Two team race from what I have seen. The only team I could see running away with the title is the 7th grade Conner team but I am hoping my Lady Birds 7th graders can step it up and hand them a loss.

Was not at the game but heard that Hellman from NDA got injured. She has a compression fracture. Prayers to her for quick recovery.

Understand. Same can be said in the 9th with Pangallo. He plays great defense and can drop dimes better than anyone in the region. His no look passes are a thing of beauty.

Sorry, but you said defending in the above post. Comparisons are much different than critiques. Most of us just said one could do some things better than the other and vice versa. You tried to point out flaws. I am with JOAT on this one, too close to the situation. You took it way to personal.

Why do you need to defend Drew??? I didn't read anyone attacking him.

When you start comparing teammates your looking for trouble. That can bread nothing but contempt. I don't think they are competing with each other, they are working together. There will be games when Weyer does more and game when Drew does. I think they both do a lot of things well but I rank Weyer higher because of his versatility.

Tough loss for Camels. Great game turned in by McGovney. He has been on fire the last couple of games. His FG percentage is pretty remarkable for a point guard this season. If they keep getting this kind of scoring out of him then they can possibly win this region but these other guys need to step up.
