In an excerpt of the press release announcing Brian Goller's retirement from the soccer pitch after 21 years, Brossart Athletic Director Adam Franzen announced that Ryan Schaeffer would succeed Goller as the head coach of the Brossart Boys Soccer Program.

We are also excited to announce that Ryan Schaeffer will be replacing Brian Goller as the head coach. Ryan comes to Bishop Brossart with a tremendous coaching and playing background. Ryan is a graduate of St. Henry High School. He went on to play at NKU where he was named all-conference in 1995. He then went on to be an assistant coach at NKU for three years from 1996-1999. From 2001-2003 he was the head coach at St. Henry District High School where his teams won two regional titles and one All “A” state title. Ryan is married to 1994 BBHS grad Jamie Mader Schaeffer and they have three children all attending St. Mary’s grade school, Tyler 5th grade, Avery 3rd grade, and Mia 3 year old preschool. Ryan currently works for Darling Ingredients Inc. (formerly Griffin Industries) as a Human Resources Manager.

Coach Schaeffer will be introduced at a public gathering this coming Wednesday evening at 7pm in Hegenauer Hall.

Best of luck to Coach Schaeffer and to the Brossart program.

This is a great hire for Brossart. Really hate to see Coach Goller retire. I am a CCHS grad but always had the utmost respect for Coach Goller and the way he ran his program. I will never forget his kind words after losing to them in the district championship my senior year. Congrats to Coach Goller on a great coaching career.

Congrats to caoch Goller on a hall of fame career! 21 years of dedicated service! Best wishes to the Stangs and their new coach.

Good pick by Brossart. Ryan is a good coach.

Too much time to wait?

Good luck to Brossart and congrats to Coach Goller on a fantastic career.
