Not sure either team has anyone that had logged serious minutes at the varsity level? How much has Colin England played up? I know. with the exception of injury, he has played a full frosh schedule, as he should. Kid is the real deal, can't wait to watch him tomorrow night. As for predictions, I have not seen Ryle play, so anything would be a one sided guess. I would like to hear from those that have seen or played both.

CC D was not specifically focused to stop the pass, I'm not a coach but I don't think a 4 4 is the D you play to do that, but correct me if I'm wrong. Looked to me like they were focused on stopping Brett Slusher, and used a double team to do it. They then used the rest to plug the los, specifically the toss sweep. Many teams have tried that, and then Bankamper runs wild inside. Pick your poison.

With all due respect, and I don't want to hijack a Highlands thread, but I completely disagree. There is not one game that BW lost this year that any of those freshman would have turned into a W. I completely support Coach Rash's policy to not bring them up. Physically, I think the only one ready to play vs Seniors is 42, Combs. Rest of them need a year in the weight room.

Thx. Yes, Cole VH (dont want to butcher the spelling) is really talented. Might even be better on the hardwood. How do the new hoops coach and football coach get along? Are kids encouraged to play multiple sports? I heard one of the big issues with the prior hoops coach was his discouragement of kids to play football.

Agree. By new QB, are you referencing a xfer or the big kid from 8th grade? That kid is a stud, and a qb transferring in would have to be very confident in his abilities. Love Dressman and if it means he has to change positions to get to the defensive side of the football, then do it. Have watched him for a long time, he is a special talent at lb. Sometimes coaches get too enamored with the platoon concept. That works at Trinity, not always elsewhere. 2 was a really good player, on both sides of the ball, but was extremely under utilized.

I may agree that BW is still undefeated without Ethan, but he is the one that takes it to another level. Teams are geared to stop him, but his ability to get the edge is phenomenal, and opens up the passing game for the rest of them. By the same token, Ethan is not as good without the talent of Kyle Fieger, Slusher, Combs, and that offensive line. Just a really good team.

Very tight game one way or the other. Round 3 of the 2012 version of the neighborhood brawl, can the young Tigers get BW first W of the year? Ironically the middle school teams both play each other in championship Saturday night. In the end of this one, too much speed from Tigers side and too many big plays. Tigers 34-22. And for the record, I too am a little biased.

No need to get defensive. Did I say anything inaccurate about last nights contest? It was 35-6 at half. That certainly brings 70 into the realm of possibility. Yes, I realize its only freshman football. I didn't say anything about last week, last month, or years to come. Will BW score 70 on CC? No. Why are you using them as an example? I don't believe in transitive properties or comparisons, how Coopers game went with them is irrelevant to this discussion.

With all due respect, and I mean nothing negative to the young men of Cooper, but the Tigers could have hung 70 on them had the first team played more than a minute or two in the second half. Tigers were gaining 7 on simple full back dives. BW o line completely dominated the much bigger guys from Cooper. Maybe the Jags get a couple more scores with their first team qb, but more competitive no. This one was a mismatch.

Pretty sure its set after last night. BW, even with a loss to colonels, is in with just 1 loss. Ryle would own the tie breaker on the birds. England looks like the real deal. Gonna be 2 pretty good runners on the field in championship, and more importantly two really good young teams. Future looks bright for NKy football.

Not seen Ryle play, but this one shocks me. After watching Dixie get pretty much handled in Ft. Mitch last week, and reading the raves on Ryle, would have never picked it. Raiders perhaps caught looking past Colonels to Birds?

Word from the stands, and mind you this is just what I have heard in the stands at BW games, is they are just taking the top two teams and playing a championship. If season ended today, that would be Ryle vs BW as the two unbeatens in NKY. That said, BW has 3 games left vs Conner, Cooper, and CovCath. Ryle still has to play HHS. Things could certainly change. Those last two games for Tigers are tough ones, and the Ryle HHS game is certainly one I would pay to see.

I can't imagine there is a small school division this year? NCC & BW both playing big schools, HC, Ludlow, Bellevue and Dayton don't even have Freshman teams, I don't believe.

No idea what this post is supposed to mean. For the record, BW has no freshmen playing above the freshman level, and IMO they have 4 or 5 kids that could definitely help the varsity.

Ok, ya got me. In the one time I was in the SVMS gym I confused Chad and Cory from 50 ft away. Guilty as charged. No idea why that upsets you so much, I was actually referring more to those two classes and what quality kids it produced, but if that's relevant to this in any way sorry for my error.
