Actually the PBR guys get out to a lot of HS games. Have seen several of them out and about, Fuller especially. They have really established credibility among college coaches. Perfect Game and their tournaments are still tops, but for local kids PBR is really doing good things.

Its one mans opinion. I disagree with it too, but truly its meaningless. Travesty is kind of harsh.

I could be wrong, but I think PBR rates more on projectability. Hard to argue the list, ask anyone to rank playees you will get several different answers depending on how that kid pkayed vs that coaches team. Of tge ones I have seen, my top 5 in order would be Shreiver, Forbes. Stringer, Suchanek, and Gannes. Again, same kids for most part, just shuffled. Several of those I have not seen.

Care to list them? All I saw was who #1 is, sent me to subscrition page after that.

Riley is the real deal, IMO best pitcher in state. Good start for CAL.

Steiner should call Marksberry for a lesson in scheduling, maybe that would end non sense like this. That guy takes on all comers and gets no love, while the football coach schedules tomato cans and is revered. Odd viewpoint in Indy.

Dear Coach, is there anyone at your school we should.send a letter to? Yes, jimmy, johnny, and joey. What amazes me is how little parents know about the process, and think a letter shows true interest. Those letters were received by a hundred other kids. This is in no way an indictment on the coach, just lack of understanding how it happens. I dont care how many phone calls a coach makes, not gonna get a kid an offer unles talent warrants it. They get questionaiires all the time, and just fill in blanks.

Rankings are a meaningless stat and only provide us old guys something to get worked up over. Do absolutely nothing in the long run,

Tough call for a coach. Get to game, Louisvill, UC, UK etc there to watch. Wouldnt you afford your ace a shot at the showcase opportunity? Kid shuts em down maybe they take notice?

You Beechwood guys are tough. Maybe it's true that transfer students are held to a much higher standard? I have a connection there, play a little baseball with the football kids, so i got out to a couple games, the one at UC and vs Holmes. Kid virtually won the game at UC with a huge KO return and a TD catch while your prized QB couldn't throw it in the ocean, and played so hurt vs Holmes he should not have even been out there. Played hurt almost all year. I guess at BW that is soft. I just looked up the stats, kid had 750 yards rushing and 14 TDs. That's not bad for a sophomore that I have seen many BW fans on here call an underachiever, soft, and now playing not to get hurt. Mind you, all this was while running behind an OL that didn't have a clue, and an offense in general that had no clue what it wanted to be. If I am that kid, I hang em up.

Big question is will the baseball kids, Combs/Slusher/Stringer play football in 2014?

I am all about kids being kids, and truly admire the dedication it takes to juggle three sports. That said, unless you are a complete freak its very tough to not pick up a baseball from August to March and improve at the level you need to improve. My kids favorite sport was football, but he realized it was a distant third on his ability scale, and gave it up. Two sports is still a full time commitment.

Yep. Tigers, say hello to the bullseye. They saw a lot of bottom of the rotation guys last year. The big 3, no big deal, when you wear a Flames or Midland jersey that's an every day thing. How will the rest of the team perform seeing top flight pitchers everyday?

They are going to be best team in state. They will shut out Ryle They have 17 kids that will go D1 They have three kids in middle school that are going to be beasts. Their new QB is also better than Drew Barker

Agree with that point. How many of the kids on your list had offers to play in state, but chose to go outside? May I ask where you got your numbers? Incorrect. Fit is most certainly a consideration. Oregon looks for the right "fit" to play their style. Saban isn't bringing in a lot of 5'9 160 lb running backs and spreading them in space. Urban Meyer seems to like the dual thread QB. And 99% is WAY too high. If that was the case, the coach at EKU would only have to step up his mailing/phone calls and his roster would be Alabama's.

As you will see at Ohio State or UC in Ohio, or Florida with Florida kids, and so on and so on. Acvording to most current rosters, EKU has 44 kentucky kids, or about half their roster. Murray has 28, aor a third, and another large group from TN, which considering their local makes sense. Kind of unfair to say neither school recruits Ky. How many Ky kids are on Coach Cals roster? Are Ky schools supposed to take all ky kids in lieu of attempting to sign who they perceive as the best fit?

Yep. Good for him, prioritized his activities, gave up hoops and worked on his game. Will get all the exposure he wants this summer. How about that Tomahawk team. 2 UK, 1 each to Vandy, Oregon, and UofL. Several more yet to commit, including the crown jewel in big lefty Bennett. Off topic I know, but thats pretty cool, and Slusher is on that team now.

Going to have to disagree with you. If there were enough good players in Ky to fill those rosters, those schools would never leave the state. If kids are d1 material it doesnt matter if they go in or out of state they dont have to pay for school.
