  1. I believe, it is in the best interest of any and all students and/or athletes to explore all their options when it comes to attending high school. Cam and his family did nothing wrong. This is all on SK. In my opinion, SK had to options: 1) allow Cam to play up, build relationships with the coaches, players, students, etc., at SK and hope that he wants to stay in the program and attend SK (similiar to what VOR stated). 2) throw a fit about an 8th grader about attending an open house with his friends and back the family into a corner to force them to choose. SK chose the second option, which was the wrong decision in my opinion. Cam went to the CCH open house with a couple buddies from his AAU basketball team and their families becasue they were going to the open house. What's the big deal with that? Way to go SK, when you try to bully kids and their families, you lose!!!! Good Luck Cam and Go Colonels!!!
  2. Not a chance..... You can, however, watch the NDA v. Mercy 2nd round game on iHigh along with all the other quarter finals, semi finals and finals. 2012 KHSAA Volleyball Tournament - Quarterfinal #4 | KHSAA Videos | iHigh.com Go Pandas!!!
  3. I thought BK was all knowing when it came to High School volleyball in the state of Kentucky?
  4. Has it been confirmed that the State Tournament is going to be 3 out of 5? I am hearing because of time constraints that only the finals will be 3 out of 5. I'm hoping that is incorrect. Does anyone know for sure how the State Tournament is going to be run?
  5. I was under the impression that a picture of the guy was taken by a parent at the game..... Perhaps I am incorrect, however, I thought the coach notified the 'team photograhper' about the situation and they did get a picture of the guy before the coach confronted him in the stands about what was going on. Either way, good job by the coach of noticing this idiot. I wish the coach would have told me before confronting the guy. I'm sure I could have talked, err, beat some sense into this guy and not allow him to leave with the camera.
  6. Union 8th grade went undefeated on Saturday in pool and bracket play. I believe Union (Ryle feeder) plays Cov Cath this upcoming weekend at Cov. Cath. I do not know the times, etc.. Should be a good match up.
  7. Has a new schedule been posted? Are all games at SK High School now?
  8. Sounds as though you will be drinking the entire show!!!!
  9. I've been to: Great American Ball Park Riverfront Dodger Stadium Fenway Minneapolis Metrodome Sun Life Park (Marlins) The Trop (Tampa Bay Rays) The Ballpark at Arlington Had a chance to go to Wrigley but turned it down (wrong decision!!). Headed to Progressive Field later this summer so I'll be able to mark that one off.
  10. Dead on Sweeperboy! I agree, 100% with your assessment! Congrats to the Breds!
  11. Congratulations to both Carley and Maria!!! Not only two exceptional defensive specialists but two wonderful young ladies on top of it!
  12. Impressive, Impressive, Impressive And to be a major contributor/leader in all three sports on top of it. Just an incredible career for Brady at NCC. Congratulations Brady!!!! I like to see you getting this recognition for all you've done for NCC over the years. Great thread TOG!!! Chewy and Mrs. Chewy I'm sure are very proud!!!
  13. Great Pictures as always paNDA!!! Speaking on behalf of ALL the Northern Kentucky High School sports fans, your work and dedication to taking pictures at the various high school games is truly appreciated!!
  14. Strong pitching indeed!!!! The Highlands starter, a freshman I believe has a bright future ahead of him. He pitched very well. Cain was very strong for the Breds through the first 6 innings but did run into some trouble in the 7th. A BIGTIME CLUTCH performance by Breds closer Andy Miller! BIG KUDOS to that young man! To come in with bases loaded, one out in the 7th inning, up 3-1 in the Regional Final and to perform like he did is very impressive. A routine shallow fly ball to left field for the second out and a shallow foul fly ball down the first base line to end the game (nice catch by Pangallo - almost is nice as the incredible catch he had last night!!!). Congrats to the Breds on their 3rd Regional Championship in the last 5 years!!!
  15. Who will be pitching for NCC in this one? I was suprised NCC brought in Andy Miller to pitch the 6th and 7th innings of last nights game against St. Henry when the score was 8-0. Especially after he pitched very well against Ryle earlier this year at Ryle. I would think he would get the start against them again, however, since he pitched last night I really don't know. Thoughts? What are the pitching restrictions in HS baseball?
  16. Congratulations Katie and the Glassmeyer family!!!! Good things happen to good people and they are some of the best!!! Plus, she's a heck of a defensive player to boot. WSU is getting a great player and person!
  17. Congrats to Heidi and the Thelen family. This is an awesome achievement.
  18. Congratulations Brady!!! Best of luck with the Bears!!!
  19. Luckily she was able to over come her father's athletic ability, or lack there of , and secure a sweet opportunity to play volleyball (and have school paid for) in the ultra competitive SEC. Congrats to Elly, Mark and Joan along with the entire Ogle family on this tremendous accomplishment. :thumb::thumb::thumb::thumb:
  20. In your 401k plan, you probably have funds available to you that are based on your retirement year, probably called something like Freedom Fund 2015, Freedom Fund 2020, etc., etc.. What's nice with these type of funds is that the closer you get to that year, the more conservative the fund manager manages the fund. So, a Freedom Fund 2015, since it is right around the corner would be invested in more conservative, money market type funds. Freedom Fund 2040 would be invested in more aggressive, stock oriented mutual funds with a higher risk/reward. The closer we get to 2040, the fund manager will change the investment to be more conservative in nature. The further you are away from retirement, generally the more aggressive you can invest since you can ride out the market peaks and valleys. I'm not providing advice or anything, however, if you give them a call, the reps would be able to assist you in helping you make the right decision based on your retirement age, lifestyle, etc.. Just my two cents......
  21. Ding, Ding, Ding....... Winner, winner, Chicken Dinner...... This is exactly what I have heard from a couple Boone parents with regard to the support of the boys team.
  22. Excellent, excellent, excellent post G!!! I would take Brady every day of the week to lead my team.
  23. In my opinion: Boys game - no student section for the Rebels (absolutely none) Girls game - fairly decent student section for the Lady Rebels
