Does NDA have 2 of the top pitchers in the region with Smith and Jones?

Clyde says CCH may have a frosh starting varsity and you respond 'maybe 2'. Then you say you see Gunnar 'off the bench'. Which is it? :idunno: I take it Gunnar is Bo's little brother? Who is Gunnar playing AAU with this summer? Does he play football as well?

I have been a big fan of McDonald's over the past few years on this site. The sky is the limit for this young man and his game. The ASun/OVC would kill to have him and his skillset in their conference. It is going to be up to Drew as I am sure he will have PLENTY of additional offers coming his way over the next year or two. He'll be able to choose the school that is the best fit for him and not a lot of athletes get that oppurtunity. If he wants to go to a bigger school/conference I am sure he'll have that oppurtunity. Keep up the hard work Drew!

Hmmmm, ok. I was actually talking about this game specifically. I heard Smith pitched a good game and hit her spots (from the posts). That's all that is mentioned about NDA in the #15 posts. They scored 8 runs... Who scored? Who knocked them in? Who played well in the field? etc., etc.. I was just trying to find out if anyone else for NDA had a good game.

Now that I know what everyone wore to the game..... Anyone able to provide details on the scoring plays? Anyone, besides Smith, have a good game for the Pandas?

Drew also went on unofficial visits to Western Kentucky and Wright State recently as well. Spent the entire day on both campuses, attended basketball games and met with the coaching staffs and players of both schools. I was told that he really liked both programs. I have a feeling this is just the beginning for young Mr. McDonald.

I heard the Ryle waterboy coach is not very good. I think the parents are meeting with Mr. Turner to see if they can get him replaced. Heard he can't develop talent.

Logan Ross will be a Junior. Looking forward to him leading the Ryle line this year. The young man has put in a lot of work over the off season and I expect a big year from him!

If one team is allowed to practice then they ALL should have been afforded the opportunity to practice at the BOKC before the regional tournament started.

I didnt' think we were allowed to call out specific NCC players and be critical of them in this thread , especially the seniors? Anyway, I agree with the many other posters that are saying the most important part is putting the ball in the basket and on this play he didn't. So, kudos to Devotto for his defense on this play and keeping Bolden from scoring.

Do Highlands Freshman ONLY play Freshman during the season or do some play junior varsity (or even varsity) if they are good enough? Just curious.

Not that it is relavent however, you have been very partial to the Ft. Thomas kids with your posts (Bueter, Siebert, DeVoto and Dupont). I don't have a problem with that, however, it seems you have an issue with me being partial to the McDonald kid (who plays big in the biggest games). In my opinion, a couple of these boys didn't step up in this game for the second year in a row. I'm not trying to make a mountain out of a mole hill or take away from the success that NCC had this year. I just really thought this was the year for them to win the region.

What other adjustment would you have liked to have seen him make? When he didn't get the ball inside to McDonald, NCC didn't score.

I wonder how many of these points/rebounds came late in the game (final 3 or 4 minutes) when Holmes had already seized some control of the game by going up 10 points. I didn't think either showed up for the first 3.5 quarters of the game. I am sure Seibert and Beuter are great kids and provide wonderful leadership, however, for the second straight year they disappeared in the regional tournament game that the Breds lost. In my opinion, McDonald was the only one who really showed up for the Breds tonight. In the 4th quarter, I do agree he may have been worn down a bit, but give Holmes credit for sagging off other Breds and playing help defense on him, not allowing him to get the ball down low like he did the previous 3 quarters. It seemed he had to go out further and further to get his touches. Thank you for coming around Clyde! After watching more than a few games for each NCC and Holy Cross, I think Drew is the best big man in NKY with Campbell a close second. He has some very nice moves down low and is very fundamentally sound. Congratulations Drew on a great sophomore season with All A State MVP, District MVP and I am sure All Region Team. I am sure I am missing other awards as well, however, congratulations on coming up big for the Breds this year. I think Schulte needs to be more consistent in his game. If I'm not mistaken, a lot of his stats came late in the game as well. When you have three starters not show up, it is going to be tough to beat a good team like Holmes.

Are you sure about this statement or did you just substitute NCC instead of Holmes? I'm thinking the longer he is on the court the better off NCC is...... Drew is a smart/fundamental player and won't pick up any silly fouls (knock on wood).
