Thanks for the rule unbiased2011. I wish all the refs knew this rule! I've saw a technical called on a boy about 3 weeks ago trying to block a break away layup from behind and hitting the backboard. It's the first and only time I have ever seen the call made. Of course, the call was made by a ref that has never been mistaken as a 'good ref'.

I am sure it is just a coincidence that he was let go after NDA's biggest threat in the 9th region (St. Henry) for the past 4 years graduated a couple of the best players in the region and will be down a bit. It should be relatively easy sailing for the Pandas this upcoming season in the 9th. I know Matt was instramental in getting the NDA program national exposure with the trips to Las Vegas and Chicago (along with being in constant contact with Prepvolleyball.com) as well as assisting with the girls recruiting. Has NDA's schedule been completed for the 2013 season? Trips to Las Vegas and Chicago again? I just hope the momentum and exposure Matt helped build for the NDA program over the years doesn't subside with his departure.

I agree, at times he does force things and try to create too much, however, he was the difference down the stretch in the game last night. I would rather my best player on the team force the issue with the game on the line then pass it off. Just my opinion.

4 juniors on JV? Wow, that is surprising to me. Do other schools operate in the same way? 'Back in the day', juniors were cut before they were put on JV. Do they get a lot of playing time?

Back in the day (236 years ago when I was in HS), the band was at ALL the home games. I agree with you Q that HS games need the band at more home games. At best it is 50/50 that a band is at the game. Do they only show at 'big' games now?

This was the first time I got to see NCC play this season. I was very impressed with Pangallo and McDonald. I'm a big fan of both and even though I thought Pangallo should have been playing more last season I am happy to see him have a big game last night. From what I have read and heard, it seems as though he is putting together a solid season for the Breds. I really think the sky is the limit for him at NCC. He made a lot of very good decisions with the ball in his hand and made some nice shots. Now, about those shorts being on backwards..... I'm sure he gets that from his dad! I see where McDonald finished with 21 points. I would love to know how many came in the second half. NCC scored 25 points in the 2nd half and I bet he had 16 - 18 himself. I'm surprised NCC didn't continue to get the ball in to him more down the stretch. There were times he was begging for the ball late in the game on the low block and it wasn't dumped into him. He's got a very solid game and is pretty much money from the line.
