Looks like Brannen really shortened the leash on his bench in this one. Only 2 bench points. Dupont 2 minutes and Devoto only 3 minutes.

 

Hot shooting 59.5% from the field and 50% from 3pt land likely was the difference.

Awesome display by the Breds, especially the 2nd half. Check these 2nd half numbers: 13-16 from the field, 1-1 from "trey land", & 17-21 from the charity stripe. :notworthy:

 

Bueter and Pangallo hit clutch 3's when needed and Nick Seibert did a nice job on the offensive side, but on "D" he was AWESOME, did and excellent job on Grundy. But the "twin towers" of McDonald & Schulte could not be stopped. Drew made some very difficult shots with a man in his face and Jake was always in the right spot. Bardstown as a really talented bunch, and they flat out can jump out of the gym, however I liken their game to that of Newport. In a way I can feel their pain being runners-up a 2nd year in a row after watching the Lady Breds fall in the Finals for the 2nd year in a row prior to this game.
