He is a Sr. I was not there on Saturday night so I can't comment on his play in that game.

His defense on Justice was ever better than his defense today. Or a least that's what several of us thought. He had Justice totally frustrated. Not sure what Justice's shooting stats were for that game, but Seibert took care of business on defense.

6-17, 1-8 from 3

If someone sees when this game is being replayed please update us on the day and time please. Thank You.

I was told it would be sometime next Sunday.

That would be Nick Seibert, and he did one hell of a job today. He was all over Grundy, held him to 5-20 from the field. :thumb:

Honestly, the way he played D, I could make a great case for him being MVP.

Pretty impressive tourney by NCC. Congrats to them! :thumb:

Ditto!!

Does the NCC tournament run alter the remainder of their schedule in any way?

NewCath is now 22-2 and show 7 games remaining on their schedule, putting them one game over the 30 game limit. The remaining games are:

Jan 29, 13 North College Hill, OH away 7:30 PM

Feb 1, 13 Bishop Brossart away 7:30 PM

Feb 5, 13 St. Henry away 7:30 PM

Feb 8, 13 Holmes away 7:30 PM

Feb 9, 13 Beechwood home 4:30 PM

Feb 12, 13 Ryle home 7:30 PM

Feb 14, 13 Conner away 7:30 PM

Brossart, St. Henry, Holmes, and Beechwood are conference games.

North College Hill on Tuesday is a logical drop, followed by Ryle which is a home game, and then Conner in Hebron.

Congratulations to the Breds on bringing home the All A State Championship. What a great team effort throughout this tournament.

They made a very nice adjustment in the second half of the championship game. Grundy was dominating the boards in the first half. Please correct me if I am wrong, but I believe he had 11 rebounds in the first half, but only 1 in the second half. Great job. Defensive effort was outstanding throughout the tournament. What an awesome accomplishament. Again Congratulations and good luck the remainder of the season, and especially in the district and regional tournaments.

Does anyone know who picks the alternament team? Just curious. It appears that there is a difference in the amount of players picked from the final 4 to 8 teams from the girls selection to the boys selection, so it makes be feel that the coaches do not necissarily pick them. Do they have a committee that picks these teams? Again just curious if anyone knows.

Congratulations to all the players selected.

Congratulations to Drew and the Breds on winning the All A and being named MVP.

A well deserved award for Drew on an outstanding tournament.

Congratulations to the Breds! And to all of the kids making the all tourney team. Must of been a hard pick choosing an MVP. With the numbers Lawnboy13 posted, it could have gone to either big man.

McDonald 25-40 FG 62pts. 27rebs. 3blks. 2 steals 12-14 FT

Schulte....24-33 FG 51pts. 36rebs. 11blks. 7 steals 03-11 FT

Those are crazy numbers.

Wish I could have made it down to cheer my boys from NCC! Congrats guys! Proud of each of you.

A committee picks the players and the coaches have nothing to do with it. This is the way it should be

^ He's a freshman, right?

I agree. It should be like that for every tournament. I think one of the most difficult things for a coach to do is pick his own players, usually with very little thought as they always want your pick immediately after your game. Another thing I really like about this tournament.
