Practices went well yesterday. It was really our tune up and last chance to fix things before walk thru this morning

All three of these young men have more than represented out state and their home towns. These communities need to be commended for what kind of boys they have become. Practices have gone well for all three and each has recieved a lot of attention from the media this week. I was very happy that Kentucky has 2 of the 4 captians. It was a huge suprise to everyone here. It was not a suprise to the West team players and our coaching staff here. All three have been first in line to do drills and Kash Daniel has taken over the defense while Landon and Drake have quietly done the same on the offensive side of the ball. Starting lineups were set today and as expected, all three will be starting. We have 50 kids on this west roster that have offers or have already committed to major programs. Our OL has Washington, Michigan, Nebraska, Wisconsin, USC and UK committs on it. I could not be prouder of these kids.

Doss schedule not that easy. Doss had several starters out during S Oldham and PRP games also. Doss' young kids are learning fast. They are young but not going to be a push over for Creek or Fairdale. Doss will be at practice all week also. Fern Creek is definitely the class of the district, but I wouldn't plan out playoffs until Nov. 1

We maxed in February here at Doss on 4 lifts. The kids were ok and you can start seeing the return on their work. But, as most of the 50-60 kids I would say we're average strength for their aga and size, we found a monster in the group. He is 6' and weighs 330 and is barrel chested. His numbers were freakish. Bench 345 Squat 495 Dead. 405 PC. 245 THAT IS 1490 LBS. Needless to say we started a 1500lb club. Only cost me 1 shirt. Lol

I stand corrected. They are still potentially and issue in the top half of the bracket. IMO

I would not count out Doss if they make it from 6th region. They have lost 6 games this year, 2 Ballard, Trinity, Taylor, Dunbar(OT) and a bad loss to Christian County. The losses to Ballard, Trinity and Taylor all came without Tyler Jefferson. If you have had a chance to watch them with and without, he makes a huge difference. I am a little bias, I guess, but I am a realist at the same time. If they get by Desales, for the 4th time this year, they could cause some serious issues.

Doss went through the coaching change this past season. Transition sometimes is tough and developing their new identity came late in the season. There are 50 kids returning and a strong base of young players. Doss was 4-1 in district play and lost the tie breaker to Fairdale. Doss also was beat in the 2nd round in OT. The JV team had a great season and there are several freshman that played on Friday nights as well. Doss is moving up to 5A in 2015 and has a new looking schedule from past years. The major focus for Doss nest year is in developing a big group of OL. There is always a barn full of skill kids at Doss and the coaching staff is really intent on adding a big, strong group of lineman. Developing the OL will go far in improving their balance and moving them into later rounds in the playoffs.

Doss has 6 fouls in first 3 minutes and Trinity has the early lead 14-3. Doss is without 6'6" Tyler Jefferson who is on WKU official visit.

District 4 won 3/4 games last night. Very good effort. District 4 doesn't figure to put up much of a fight, as by and large the only wins those teams have on the year are over other teams within the district. It made for an entertaining district race but they will likely not be a threat to win the region. Region 2 Championship: North Oldham 28 Spencer County 13

Great job by coach Wright and their staff. They have done a great job with those kids. Could be dangerous in the playoffs.

Doss is playing well at the right time. New staff, new system has finally caught up to them. Spencer will put up a fight but will struggle with speed and size of Doss. Should be a good game. Doss is 2 tds short of winning their last 6 games. Lost to Butler by 8 and Western in district play 12-19. The early strength of Doss' schedule may prove to be the difference. Doss by 14.
