Bluegrasscard Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 US Army All American Bowl On NBC. Three Kentucky players and one Kentucky coach. Player Roster: Player Roster | US Army All American Bowl Kash Daniel - Paintsville Drake Jackson - Woodford Landon Young - Lafayette Coaching Staff | US Army All American Bowl Phillip Hawkins - Doss Kentucky used to get 1 player on this team each year. Now its three. And Hawkins has a knack for bringing together teams quickly.
stick1 Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 Good start to practice week. UK got the #3 overall grade after practices up to this point. Both linemen have been in the stock up players. Drake getting rave reviews as fast learner, command at Center sounds like he's got a great shot to come in and compete right away at Guard. Have seen him ranked as high as 3 overall on his All Star Team. Mauler they called him. Great reviews of Landon. Said body wise he looks like the most prototipacal at the whole camp. Said he's on the right side right now but has all the makings of a left tackle and has looked good vs tough competition. Haven't seen a lot on Kash yet review wise. I know he had an interception yesterday.
stick1 Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 Our 3 boys have been huge this week! Everything I've seen has Drake top Center + Landon being called 5 Star Tackle arguably the highest ceiling. Kash had and int and has emerged as a leader. He was tabbed before the camp as "fish out of water" because the stage would supposedly be to big for him. Good news Kash+Drake just got named 2 of the 4 Captains for their team! This the day after Kash got defensive player of the day and Landon got offensive player of the day. Army Bowl: East practice Tuesday top performers

Youngbloods Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 I love to see local boys representing well. Keep it up.
coachhawk Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 All three of these young men have more than represented out state and their home towns. These communities need to be commended for what kind of boys they have become. Practices have gone well for all three and each has recieved a lot of attention from the media this week. I was very happy that Kentucky has 2 of the 4 captians. It was a huge suprise to everyone here. It was not a suprise to the West team players and our coaching staff here. All three have been first in line to do drills and Kash Daniel has taken over the defense while Landon and Drake have quietly done the same on the offensive side of the ball. Starting lineups were set today and as expected, all three will be starting. We have 50 kids on this west roster that have offers or have already committed to major programs. Our OL has Washington, Michigan, Nebraska, Wisconsin, USC and UK committs on it. I could not be prouder of these kids.
RomanEmpire Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 Congrats to all three of these young men on reaching the Pinnacle of their accomplishments. It's a great honor to play in this game to represent those who served and give us our freedom each and everyday. Represent your schools, your state, your hometown and your name. Looking forward to seeing these guys compete on Saturday. Enjoy it and take it all in boys. The game will end, but the memories will last a lifetime.
Tony Cavalier Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 Kash is a natural born leader. I remember umpiring some of his Little League baseball games when he was on the Yankees and the young man had the "it" factor then. From his peewee days, to now and into the future people have/will always look up to him to take them to battle and raise the team's overall level of play. As a graduate of Paintsville and one that is now affiliated with the Johnson Central program, I am extremely happy to see him or anyone else from our small hole in the state succeed on the big stage. Best of luck this weekend and going forward to Kash and the other KY players. You have made us all proud.
RomanEmpire Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 It's a great thing to have Kash coming in so mature. The fact that he will be 19 soon is a huge factor. He should be able to take hold and lead some younger guys. The fact that he will be able to play at UK as a 22-23 year old senior is huge.
stick1 Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 The San Antonio Significance | Kentucky Sports Radio Nice read. Really happy for 3 good young men. They already have a special bond and haven't stepped on campus for class yet.
RomanEmpire Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 Happy for these 3 young men, but Fred Maggard is a flat out hypocrite. Not a fan.
