Last I heard Pat Riley was the DC at CAL. He really enjoys the atmosphere there at CAL.

I agree Shamrock, speaking as a ROCKS fan myself. Male should be the favorite, but I am very curious to see how T responds to last year's lack luster year. But also how Male responds to last year's success. Excluding the last game against Scott Co. Football season can't get here soon enough.

Don't see him leaving now, last year should have left him with a feeling of unfinished business. Making major changes on the defensive side of the ball, shows a renewed interest in getting the team back course again. Last year was an anomaly he would just soon forget.

My understanding is it was a matter of the financing from their end. Trinity had there portion of the cost secured, Bishop Gorman had difficulty securing their end.

Raymond Spaulding needs to be included, he has great presence in the middle, and is getting lots of D1 looks.

Dennis lampley did a second stint at Trinity, that was when he won 3 4a titles in a row, and set the state winning streak at 50 games.

I would go with Weinrich, May not have any experience as a head coach. However, worked closely long enough, with Coach Mueller to be an excellent and capable replacement. Would make for a much smoother transition for the returning players and program as a whole.

I say Fant, great career and season. Doesn't hurt three straight 5A state titles and undefeated seasons.

Very similar to the 2005 4A title game between X and T. X had demolished T in the rival game that year, and went into the state title game rematch as a heavy favorite. So much so that they had championship shirts and hats made up already and in boxes on the side line. Only problem, they lost to T, rendering those articles of clothing use less. Lesson here...never assume, or take anything for granted.

He would be stepping into an already established powerhouse. I would imagine he wants another coaching job anyways.

WOW, completely shocked at this news. Coaching high school football is a 365-24-7 job. He really has nothing left to prove, probably would have rather ended on a state title, but still impressive career. Good luck to him in the future, high school football is losing a good one.

Weather certainly played a part in the attendance issues this year. Last minute schedule adjustments due to the weather played havoc with alot of people's schedules. The travel for a good portion of schools and their fans is a problem. I come from Louisville, which is only about a 2 hour drive, but for those coming from the North and Eastern portions of the state, it a considerable distance. Maybe with UL joining the ACC starting nexted year, the KHSAA, can get the state finals back to PJCS. I applaud WKU, however, for doing and EXCELLENT job of hosting thus far.

All and all, was a very exciting high school football season. Culminating in an excellent weekend at WKU. CRAZY weather forced the scheduling adjustments, but the end result was very competitive championship games, all but two where down to the wire exciting endings. That is exactly is the way these games should be. Congratulations to all the the team's, and a extra congratulatory to DeSales and Collins, both of whom experienced their first state football titles. Can't wait for nexted year to get here.

I know they did, no need to look up score, they won. I was referring to playing on a regular basis. Well if the program is so dominate, and fans a little bored, go up in classification. Get what I'm saying genius.

Maybe a little bored. I would like to see HHS, volunteer to move to the 6A class, and play teams on their level. They would no longer be bored or complacent playing the likes of St. X, TRINITY, MALE, or the SCOTT CNTYs of the state. Instead of a yearly scrimmage against the ROCKS, let them play a game that actually counts. I believe this would put the excitement back into their fans, if it indeed is missing.

Would love to see Meade Co. Win this, that would truly be an unexpected upset. But my head says Scott Co. Has too much for The Green Wave to prepare for. Hope the weather allows this game go off without a hitch.

No bone chewing here partner, theses are rumors outside of the THS community. I really don't think T cares who is coaching at X, or any other school for that matter.

There are rumors Floating about, that Coach Wofford is out at X for nexted year. Apparently he has always considered an interim, while Coach LeFors makes the transition from CAL to X nexted season. He wanted one more year with this group at CAL, thinking he had a good shot at a title. Anyone else hearing this rumor or anything similar to it.

It's been my experience, to be the best, you need to win the state championship. Bowling Green and Highlands are both defending champs in their respected classes and still playing. Male, still has 2 games remaining, if and when they Win the 6a title, then yes. But for now, I will go with Bowling Green.

Considering their schedule of out of state teams played, and playing in the SUPER DISTRICT, Trinity played the toughest schedule. Entering tonight, 6 of their opponents are still alive in their respected states playoffs. MOELLER and COLERAIN are playing each other. Not sure anybody else in the state can boast that.

Honestly was not expecting to much success, considering his lack of experience as a head coach at the high school level. Felt like he needed to keep more of the previous staff for a smoother transition. Just not sure he knew what he was getting into. Really surprised when he refused to speak after Friday night's loss. Grade D. Will be curious to see what happens on Poplar Level Road during the off season.

With Trinity and Beaty together, it is possible. But, it starts this Friday against a very good and determined Manual team. Must see drastic improvement in the defense (either in the form of a better pass rush, or a MUCH improved pass coverage.) Also, Mr Bonnofan must learn, finally, to not key in on one receiver. These happen, then yes , the ROCKS can 4-peat.

my guess would be 1988, made it to the 4A finals. Lost to Trinity 28-0 lead by Jeff Brohm.
