  1. Congrats to Walton. I think the Diamond and 1 defense was a suprise to South. Whitfield has faced a many Box and 1 defenses this year where she would simply drive to the basket but I think this was the first diamond and one she has faced and the lane was not there. WV for sure had a better game plan yesterday than South. Good luck at Diddle, I will always cheer for the 8th region.
  2. Congrats to the ladies of South Oldham and Coach Wright on their win against a very good and well coached Simon Kenton team.
  3. Congrats to Boone on sweeping Division I. I like Boone's Coach, she is intense, lol!!
  4. In the boys forum they said the teams should be announced this week for the 10th.
  5. I too was impressed with Gallatin. They have a really good coach, too.

  8. Congrats to the Lady Dragons!! It was not a pretty win but they overcame what seemed to be a poor shooting night. Gallatin County was a much improved team from the previous meeting last December. The Dossett sisters are very good. Congrats to Gallatin on a great season!
  9. I thought maybe Brown was hurt, but then he put her in with less than 4 minutes left. Made absolutely no sense to me. If she was sitting for some reason for that long, then why put her in at the end? She got two quick fouls and really was not a factor in the game at that point. I'm sorry but I blame the Coach for that loss, not that I care but why do that to your team and to a senior in her possible last game. If whatever infraction was that bad then she shouldn't have played at all, IMO. But anyway, on to Simon Kenton. Go South!!!
  10. Congrats to the team and these 7 seniors who have won 4 straight distict championships!! 11. Congrats to all the ladies!! I have seen quite a few girls in the fifth region play, they are a talented region!
  12. Great interview! I am now a Warren Central fan as long as they are not playing South Oldham, lol
  13. Wow! Great accomplishment for a freshman. Congrats!! How many years has she played varsity and what high school?
  14. Congrats to Jasmine & Rianna and all the ladies! Congrats to Coach Wright, he has done a very good job with the young ladies from Crestwood!
  15. I do think South Oldham, Anderson, and Walton-Verona are very close in rankings, more like 8, 9, 10. On any given day either team could beat the other. Should make for interesting regional games with Owen, Simon Kenton and Collins very cabable of upsets.
  16. I saw this in the Courier Journal today and thought it was interesting. Some girls from the area are doing very well. http://www.courier-journal.com/interactive/article/20120211/SPORTS/302120056/Kentuckiana-players-women-s-college-basketball
