NewCath freshman Alexus Mayes had surgery this morning to have her appendix and gall bladder taken out and is done for the rest of the season. She was the usually the 1st or 2nd player off the bench and provided plenty of "quality" minutes. This is a big blow to the Breds. Hopefully she is doing fine and recovering well.

Hopes she feels better soon! Never a "good" time for surgery, but missing the last few weeks of the year is tough.

Thoughts and prayers are with her for a fast and complete recovery. Sad to see any kid miss the most important part of the season, but hopefully she will make a full recovery and be healthy for next season.

Thoughts and prayers to Alexis & her family.

Thoughts and prayers go out to Alexus.

Bad news for the young lady and for the Breds. The games I've seen them play they only use 6 or 7 players. It may hurt them if they have several games back to back. I'm thinking it may have hurt them against Walton in the All A. A couple of players never come out of the game.

Speedy recovery to Alexus, good news is she still gets 3 more years to play.
