Kentucky Football - What comes first?

Dropped passes stop this week. Mark it down. -
Kentucky/Charlotte Predictions
horst muhlmann replied to All State Baseball's topic in College Football
Stoops commented this week in his presser that he noticed some of the wideouts seemed to be stepping up in practice. They have their guy under center so I expect a much better effort and no drops. -
They sure were. Lindsey's 26-21 loss to CU was a killer. They held All-world NAIA passer Jacob Russell down that game. Likely his lowest output of the season. Lindsey is down a bit this year offensively but has one of the best defenses in the MidSouth Conference. The future is bright at Lindsey as they are now able to redshirt kids that a couple of years ago would have played as true freshman. I expect them to contend for national titles every year going forward.

Look for Baler and Badet to try much harder with Barker at QB. Just a hunch that the drops will be far fewer this week. -

Tennessee @ Kentucky Predictions

To keep him from taking any more unnecessary hits, plain and simple... and to give Barker some needed reps so he could judge the speed of the game. There is no QB controversy at UK. -

Unless Towles is injured there is zero chance that Barker starts. What makes you think the receivers will magically start catching balls if Barker is the one throwing them? The backup QB gets more love than anyone. -
Lindsey Wilson 24 Faulkner (AL) 19

Bunning made the travel squad as a true freshman (one of only a handful of true frosh to do so) but has not yet played. He's been # 2 on the depth chart at left tackle all season but hopes to keep his redshirt. Mills has missed some time with some nagging injuries. Mills should also redshirt. -
The blue raiders run their record to 6-0 and maintain their #1 ranking in the national NAIA poll for the 4th straight week. Several N.Ky and greater Cincinnati players on this talented roster. This week they travel to Georgia to face #8 ranked Reinhart.

Will be attending the UC/UCONN game this weekend. Is he looking at both schools? As. Kicker or Punter, or maybe both. The way Landon Foster has been punting at UK this season maybe JD should look to stay in the blue and white.

How did #11 play for Bourbon County? Young man is an exchange student from the Netherlands and is an excellent player.

Kentucky/Mississippi State Predictions

Kentucky wins 31-27. -
Fade throw to Baker in the west end zone should have drawn 2 flags, 1 for holding and 1 for pass interference. He got neither. Stoops was livid for at least 5 minutes

Big win for CU. Faulkner inherited several players from the UAB team that was dismantled after last season. The Western division of the mid-south conference is a buzz saw.

What are you smoking?? UK is 2-1 with a road win in conference. After we win the next 2 games we'll be 4-1 and the ship will be righted. One game doesn't make or break the season. What a fickle bunch... One loss and no bowl game???

How many state championships do they have in football?

Lindsey Wilson 24 Georgetown College 17
horst muhlmann replied to WESTSIDE's topic in College Football
Agree that Georgetown outplayed Lindsey this week but an ugly win is still a win. Lindsey is only in its 6th year of football and Coach Oliver and his coaches have done an unbelievable job at recruiting and getting the team ready to play at the highest level. They are ranked #3 in the national NAIA poll this week. It was good to see so many NKy players dressing for this game on both teams. -
Scott County/Highlands Predictions

SC's D line is very talented. Should be a stern task for the Birds' O Line. Establishing the LOS will be very important in this one. I'd look for Hergott to roll out a bit more to give him more time to throw. -

In the players to watch I would most certainly include OL Bo Hebel and OL Evan Richardson from Highlands. Both started as juniors and return for their senior season. Hebel's junior highlight tape had more pancakes than was served at Ihop on any given day -
As I've told my kids countless times, nothing good happens when you're out past midnight.
-
Not sure who your sources are but Zach West is slated to be one of the starting guards on the O Line this year.
-
IMO Towles does have it locked up. At the end of spring practice UK only had 2 scholarship QBs on the roster (Reece Phillips is now back from injury) so Coach Stoops didn't want to name a starter to make sure Barker didn't get an inkling to transfer because he wasn't playing. Towles will be the starter and show vast improvement as the O Line now has a 3 deep on the depth chart and there is now a TE presence from Cleveland who I understand will get reps as a true frosh.

2015 NKY East/West Allstar Game
horst muhlmann replied to uk#1fan's topic in KY Football (High School)
In the 2nd half the East O Line was imposing their will on the West D line. Agree with UKFan that Zajac was a beast. Joseph and Price from Newport had excellent games as well. -
