GOREDDEVILS Posted June 4, 2015 Author Posted June 4, 2015 Congrats to the Musketeers and good luck against Highlands.
blueandblack14 Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 Really tough loss for Collins. They outhit Greenup by 5 and left so many runners on base. Once they loaded the bases with none out in the 7th I thought they would win it. McDonald smoked the ball and all the Collins fans thought it was through but somehow it ended up in the 2nd baseman's glove and the double play killed all of Collins' momentum. It was a heck of a game to watch.

Freshmen Kyle Gammon did great closing out the game. Great job boys , lets get 1 more. Ill post more about game and some numbers tomorrow, just got home at 2,30 am.

Tommy2tone Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 Great job by Collins. 1 foot away from tying and probably winning the game. Collins has thrived this year scoring runs with 2 outs. Was only able to get 1 leading to the 13 LOB. Very proud of the guys. Greenup has some great ball players and can manufacture those runs with the running game. No wonder they they won 33 games.

horst muhlmann Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 Who toes the rubber tomorrow in the semifinals for the Musketeers?
tdyballgame Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 I read somewhere GC hasn't has their ace all year. Is this the game he debuts?
Statstuffer Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 Who toes the rubber tomorrow in the semifinals for the Musketeers? I wouldn't be surprised if Greenup didn't go right back to Ethan Coldiron tomorrow night. He started last night vs Collins and only lasted 6 batters before being pulled. He's much better than he pitched last night, maybe nerves, maybe a glitch in his delivery?? They also could use Zach Hayden who pitched Monday.
X`s and O`s Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 I read somewhere GC hasn't has their ace all year. Is this the game he debuts? No ,he's done pitching for the year. It would have been nice to have him. The rest of staff has really steeped up. He can play field and bat , just not pitch.

A few good innings from Ethen would go a long way. May be Gage Hughes for 1 inning at end , if need be. Kyle Gammon might see a inning.. Might see 3 or 4 , pitchers . Greenup has a great "D" so it might be what helps the most.
blueandblack14 Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 I wanted to mention how successful this senior class for Collins was during their 4 years as Titans. They had a record of 108-34 (22-11, 33-7, 28-4, 25-12) in 4 seasons and won two regional championships and defeated the 11th Region champion twice in the first round at state. They were pretty successful as building a tradition as a baseball power in the 8th Region to say the least. (They went 46-8 vs. regional competition as well.)
