This is where all year long, Highlands peeps have preached that their pitching depth will get them to the promise land. I wouldn't be surprised to see Highlands start Doty. Mix in a little Raisor, Jones, Bunning, Noe, Heck........Win by committee? Unless of course your starter is cruising. JB may go with Raisor too and finish with Jones. He has a lot of options. Of course have to score runs and play/manage mistake free ball because Ryle is no slouch for sure.

Boone's game plan of giving the birds a healthily diet of off speed pitching worked effectively of shutting down a powerful fastball hitting team. It wasn't till late in the game where the birds started making hard contact and I think that was on little harder throws. If Ryle can keep Higlands off balanced at the plate , I think you will see another close game with Ryle having a good chance of taking down the birds.

Mitchell Jones will start the game for Highlands tonight and you can right that down and circle it. Expect him to go 4 or 5 and then from there it is anyone's guess. Probably will depend on the score of the game to be honest. If a tight game, I would look for Raisor or Bunning and if a 5 run lead or so look for Doty and Noe.

I think both teams are different, weather and field conditions are different so definitely can not gauge anything on the last meeting. Billig (sp) for Ryle hasn't pitched yet in the tourney. I think he would be a great matchup against the birds, plus they have lonnermann and several arms to throw if needed. Highland posters have done a great job of promoting the birds depth, but you might find out, they are not sitting much above Ryle. Good luck to both teams. Still think if Ryle goes slow on the mound, Birds might end up on the short side

Highlands make the championship game for the third time in 4 years. Big difference is that this year, no one is shocked by it.

I will try and make this one. Will be rooting for Ryle due to friends having sons on the team, but want to catch Ramey before his career is over here. Great player!

We shall see I guess. My bet in on Jones to start and get through 5 if possible. My belief that the has been saved for this exact situation. He is their number 1 and you do not think he gets the ball to start the game? I will still stand by what I said earlier.
