Anyone ever go back to back in the 9th? Seems like someone new wins every year. My history with baseball is only a few years old though.

My Sophomore and JR year Highlands went back-to-back in 96 and 97. That was w/ Glaser and Pfetzer as the 1 and 2 in the rotation.

Yes. They were Sophomores on the 97 team. Lorenzen threw a football harder than his fastball. That always struck me as strange.

Mason caught the 96 team but it was the same thing. He was amazing also.

I was speaking to him the state baseball tourney and we were discussing the same thing. He said he was a decent pitcher but never threw as hard as you might expect given his football skills chucking the pigskin.

I had one of his swing passes whistle past my head and I batted against him. I was bewildered.
