Like I said, we were simply told he had to be eligible somewhere. They said he should not have been allowed to play at an out of state school without his parents moving or change of custody. But, since his parents still had the same address, that was his "home" school.

I can tell you from experience what we were told at our school (granted it was a few years ago). Parents never moved but kid enrolled at an out of state school. Halfway through the season he came back and was automatically eligible. The KHSAA said he had to be eligible somewhere. Since his parents never moved, he was eligible at his "home" school.

Unless he is just wanting to be closer to his son, that would be a backwards move.

If he left the state, I don't think it will matter. He will still be eligible at his "home" school. Had he played for a private school in Ky, it would be different.

You have been misinformed. He did get 2 days of ISS, but it was no major infraction. ISS is used for punishment for anything from tardiness to disrupting class. If it was something serious, he would have been suspended.

Funny how people complain about how many teams make the playoffs in football but then want EVERYONE to not just make the district but now regional tournament in basketball.
