I was wondering the same thing. I was told that's why Bellevue doesn't have a turf football field, was flooding concerns.

Ryan Lemond from KSR has been alluding to this for some time. Cal down played the seriousness of the injury. Lemond was pretty adamant about about it being more serious. I don't get what took so long for it to come out.

I drove by yesterday and noticed what appears to new poles and fencing being installed. The whole park is surrounded by construction fencing. Lefties will miss the short porch in right field.

Does anyone know the circumstances of Coach Simmins departure? Surely it couldn't be wins and losses.

They've known this was coming. The whole infield and garage area is pretty much nothing but Amazon trailers.

If the name Brad supposedly called the player is what has been speculated.....it's sounds like he was spot on in calling him that! Weak move by the Trame family.

If that indeed is the case, shouldn't he be caring for his relative instead of coaching?

True, he is still technically the coach. Going forward, he will not be.

If memory serves me correctly I think Poynter commutes from about two hours away. I would think Bellevue would want someone who can be out in the community on a regular basis.

Ask some of the coaches around the 9th region and see what they say? Krumps, Max, Roesel, Arlinghaus and others Roberts and Trame......the ones with some class. Its a typical small school mentality with a chip on their shoulder to do something like that. Reporting a score like that does nothing but humiliate those kids. I've been on the good end of many scores like that and NEVER reported a score that lopsided.

Have some class and report the score as 11-1! No need to embarrass the other team. Report the stats as they were but not the score.

Any updates? Has anyone heard anything new? I would think if the Florence Police thought they had a random killer on the prowl they would have said so. It seems like the are taking their time making sure they have the right guy.

There is a Stephenson lodged in the Boone Co. Jail. I know for a fact he is related to the murder victims. I don't know if this coincidence or not.

I believe someone has been arrested in this case.

It's the same guy. He thinks everyone is there to see his act, not the game. May be one of the few announcers that has his own microphone. When he misses an occasional game the school has to hunt another one down.

I've been around athletics for a long time, and I've never seen a coach intentionally screw talented players. Makes no sense. With a couple of recent regional finals appearances, I'm going to assume Coach Roberts knows what he's doing. Every program has disgruntled players and parents who overestimate the ability of former little league all-stars.

I never said Jefd wasn't a great coach, nor did I say anything about the caliber of his son. I said that I'm not a fan of fathers coaching their sons at that level. It puts both of them in an awkward position. The school community deserves a broad search. Given the timing, he may very well be the best candidate. If so, I'll be the first to cheer him on
