From the tweets, doesn't appear the two early commits are suffering from over confidence. They seem to have 2/3 hits every night.

It's unbelievable! Being able to score 20+ runs in the FIRST inning is crazy. Slusher, combs, and stringers batting average has to be at least .700

I get the whole "taking care of business" thing, but isn't this excessive? Beechwood has to have couple guys that are role players that they can get in early, right?

Most of the runs were walks. Cant count the number on one hand for how many walks Dayton gave up. After each hit runners only advanced one base.

What was the score after the 1st inning?

I believe it was 22-0.

I would never do that. I don't care who I am playing, especially since it is a tournament game. I start my team and whatever happens, happens. I don't care how bad I think I am going to win - I put my starting team on the field. I probably don't start one of my top pitchers, but I put my best starting 8 on the field.

I agree with Big Cat on the "stat stuffer" comment, but quite a few teams have those teams on their schedule. However, I agree completely with VOR. Starters get a couple innings in before I turn it over to subs.

I agree, and did last year too. That kind of talk can actually hurt a "team". Weirdly I don't think it is a relative of the three players making all those comments. One of the Tomahawks last year gave up a grand salami to a non-Tomahawk player from Dixie in the semifinals of the region and away went the Tigers dreams of winning the region.

Have some class and report the score as 11-1! No need to embarrass the other team. Report the stats as they were but not the score.

Then the runs and rbi's in the stats better add up to 11. Now you are playing with the actual numbers to get to a score that does not exist. It is what it is.
