Jarin Rassman with a triple double in the loss. Very special player who deserves more recognition than he is getting. If you are a college coach looking for a point guard who checks off all the boxes. This kid would be a steal. -

I am not advocating for Steve Wright I was just stating the point, his resume would be better than most that apply. -

If Steve Wright is indeed on that list of those that have applied he has the best resume of everyone who has been mentioned. State champion, 5 or 6 regional championships. -

How useful is H.S. Summer ball?
threeifitgoes replied to maysvilleky's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Personally I think it is very important especially if it is done correctly. It allows a coaching staff to get a better understanding of team chemistry and what they need to focus on in the preseason. Usually you rotate and play a lot more kids in the summer and for some kids it is there first shot. Also not all kids get the opportunity to play as I for various reasons. Last and most importantly we have to remember summer bal is not always about preparing kids for college ball, a lot of kids need to stay busy and be around teammates and coaches who care for them and our their closes thing to role model. For the elite player they probably do not need summer ball, for the smaller programs and average teenager I think it is great -

Taveion Hollingsworth wins Mr. Basketball
threeifitgoes replied to PurplePride92's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Incredible career, look forward to keeping up with him WKU. -
The district they are in alone, would scare off a lot of good candidates. Dunbar won the state title last year, have in my opinion, Mr. Basketball and get bounced first round of districts. That's insane

article 16th Regional Tournament Preview
threeifitgoes replied to All State Baseball's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
On paper the games for Wednesday night look like two games where one team is heavily favored. I know you still have to tip it up and play the game but does anyone see either Russell or Fleming throwing something out to throw Boyd and or Elliott off, such as holding the ball, playing different junk defense or do you all feel like they will just do what has gotten them there? -

Fieldhouse in the late 90's when Fleming County was still in the 39th district were some great high school environments. -

Have to have Hubbert on that list, you could easily make the argument he is the toughest matchup for any one defender in the region. I would also have Woods from Rowan County on their somewhere, he makes them go.
