Cohorn broke the Dixie record for career receptions and recieving yards during the Dixie/Ryle game. I was told that he needs 3 more receptions this year to break the Nky. single season record for receptions. Nice job Goose.

Where does Dixie come in? Any opinions?

If anyone has any fiilm or tape on Cohorn's catch is it possible to get it on the BGP site? I was at the game and seen it and it was unbelievable. I just don't know how he even held on to the ball after he caught it. Truly an amazing catch.

Ryle did make an adjustment on Cohorn at the half. I noticed two or sometimes three players in his area in the second half. The first half he must have had 10 to 12 catches. That first touchdown he caught was probably the best catch I've seen in a long time. It was really good. And not having Pitzer to compliment Cohorn made Dixie pretty a one dimensional team. Double or triple up on Cohorn and make Pike run the ball. Dixie has no running game besides Pike, and no passing game without Cohorn, and Ryle coaching staff picked up on it at the half.

Has anyone heard how serious Goose Cohorn's injury is? I am hearing he messed his hand up pretty bad in practice yesterday and had to leave practice and go to the hospital. This would play a major impact in this game tomorrow night.

Don't know for sure. We're hoping that he is. I was told he's been practicing ths week.

We are hoping the same thing with the Colonels, that we get a couple key players back this week from injuries. This game is going to be big for both teams as the winner gets a first round game at home. Being senior night at Dixie, hopefully the colonel defense will step up and play like last week against Sk.

True, but Boone if Boone's defense shows up as Dixie's didn't, then Boone might pull out the W. But the Camels are on a roll. I give a slight nod to the Camels in this one.

Hopefully Dixie beats Ryle by 40! If Dixie wanted to play a weak schedule I'm sure they could and have a better record. And the defense would have to play good. Let's not memory loss here, Ryle also lost to the district champ in Campbell Co. So if Dixie beats Ryle on Friday, should Rlye be in the playoffs? Hmmmmm!

I talked to his dad at the Dixie/SK game friday. He named off many schools interested in him and that Goose has been visiting colleges for the past few months on Saturdays. He said they have been to some D2 and D3 schools, some NAIA and some D1 schools. Sounds like where ever he ends up, education and playing time are going to play a major part in the decision process. I've been around Nky. football for a long time, and around the Dixie program over 30 years now. I have some so many good football players and Goose Cohorn has really impressed me. Great hands, runs good routes, and from what I hear has a good work ethic on the field and in the classroom. It's just good to hear that he's thinking of his education in the future also, rather than just football.

Goose Cohorn needs 114 yards to reach 1000 for the season. Hopefully it can happen this week against Ryle at home being senior night.

He did make some crazy catches in Friday's game against SK. He flat out gets it done.

Congrats to the kid. That's a good school and a good conference for him to be able to play and compete in. That's free school! However people just don't realize and really have no idea about some of these offensive lineman that are around the country that are 6'6-6'7 280-320 lbs and are grown men. It's just apart of the game now a days that kids are naturally bigger which makes recruiting more picky for colleges.

If Bruns is back this week in the backfield for Dixie this game could get real interesting. And SK needs to keep Cohorn in check. He's averaging 100 yards per game. Dixie needs to stop the run, plain and simple.

From a coaching standpoint it sure appears that way raiderbird.

It all starts with the coaching. I've been around the Dixie program for over 30 years now and there is no emotion on the sideline from the coaching staff what so ever. IMO there are some kids playing in positions they shouldn't be at for one. Injuries to key players are another. But there should be kids on the sidelines ready to go when called upon. These kids just aren't getting coached in practice, This is a total embarrasment to the Dixie team and school in general. It's pretty bad when Pike and Cohorn are constantly telling players where to go and what to do. There is way too much talent on that team. They deserve a much better coaching staff than they currently have. Many of these kids are playing with everything they got. The Dixie coaching staff looked tonight like they were all burned out. Unbelievable!

I would assume Nathan Freese will be at QB for Conner this week if they choose to rest Barker.

For the Camels to win they must keep the passing game of Dixie in check-Pike, Cohorn, Hatton. Dixie's line and running backs are still banged up. For the Colonels to win they must step up and stop any running game the Camels have. Dixie should do well against their passing game. Dixie seems to have trouble against the run. And tackling in general. Take Dixie 41-21.

I wasn't talking smack about any kid at all. VOR said in an earlier thread that Cohorn got smoked by Nusbaum. And Cohorn got the better of Vocke on some plays. And for your info, Cohorn is not my kid. My three have been graduated for years, and I agree with him getting the ball alot. Just lioke Vocke. Especially when the running game is hurting with injuries. And as I said in an earlier thread Beechwood played a great game. Say what you want and think what you want but the outcome would have been alot closer if it weren't for injuries to Dixie's runningbacks and lineman. Don't worry TouchdownTiger, I'm not saying Dixie would have won. Oh, and Vocke is the real deal, probably the best runningback in Nky IMO.

Zeke Pike was an elite 11 qb Patrick Towels was not. I hit my DVR button and paused the show at the selection time and PT wasnt on the list. Put some players around Zeke and a line to block for him hes completely different. He was hit several times after throws with the 1.5 se he had to throw.

And as for you, I wasn't running my mouth. Beechwood beat Dixie. Be happy my friend, I'm sure Dixie has put that game behind and is concentrating on their next game. Cohorn had a good game. And so did Vocke and Nusbamm.
