IMO ,I think that some are completely burned out with ball. They maybe need a break. Personally, I think the tryout process is somewhat a joke. How can you tell that much about a boy in a two day tryout with 43 boys involved. I do think as in anything else that politics are involved in some cases. I watched these tryouts several years ago at Georgetown College and some that didn't make it were much better than some that did IMO.There could be many reasons why a kid might not want to try out but they have to make that decision on their own and I respect that decision. Why is the Ky-Ind game so much more important than the Ky-Ohio game and why don't they have tryouts for the Ky-Ohio game. I could probably name at least 8 out of the 12 boys who will be on that team before tryouts start.

That's unreal, having to pay to play. I never did think the Ky-Ohio game was such a big deal anyway.

Game must not have been too important, I couldn't even find a box score in any paper. Only mentioned 3 boys scoring.

I'm saying if he's hot keep giving him the ball. I went to watch the Jr all start game last year at Franklin Co and it was a one man show for one team. I don't put much stock in all star games. Can't believe a kid has to pay to be in an all star game. That's unreal!

That's the worse thing about these all star games in that everyone wants to be in the spotlight and for example ,Knipp had a hot hand then keep going to him but I know and you know that other boys can't stand that and want to be in the spotlight themselves . Most people call it selfish.

I felt like Zollo has played out of position for the past 3 years . Rogers could only play one position and that was within 3-4 feet from the basket which placed Zollo on the high post. I think if Zollo had played the low post he would have been much more effective in scoring but there's only room for one on the low post. I thought one of the best games the Clark Co team played was against Warren Central when Zollo played the low post when Rogers went on a college visit.

They will be coming out with 2 more All State Teams tomorrow ,so we will start this all over again, on who should be and who shouldn't be. The Courier Journal and the Lex Herald. I guess they still have those teams. I always thought the Courier Journal always had the best and most accurate all state team. I think the A.P. is the most prestigious.

I agree with everything you say but Clark Co played Christian Co twice, once without Hickey and played them in the Toyota Classic at Georgetown with Hickey and beat them easily twice. He didn't make that much of an impact during that game although he was very ,very impressive in the State Tournament . I just don't think he played that way all season but he played well when it really counted.

I don't think they consider ball handling , but only scorers. Bopper can handle the ball as good, if not better than anyone listed above.

Very impressive game against Mason Co and not so impressive in the final game of the regionals. Defense was the difference.

If I was playing Montgomery Co, I would be much more concerned about Prewitt than anyone else on the team although Handshoe is a very good shooter.

If Harris and Black plays, they will be in the mix of things. They're two nice ball players.

My bad, I was thinking that a few of those starters were back with Jacobs.

With Stenzel back along with Charlie Rogers , Fadkin ,and hoping Van Cleve plays, Roberts and Howell, I think Clark will be very competitive. I also believe if Black and Harris from Mason Co plays along with a talented group of sophomores that they will also be competitive. Montgomery brings back their Offenseve punch with Prewitt, Handshoe, Crisp and Fruth and should be pretty tough. Harrison and Pendleton will also be pretty good. Paris will be much better. It will be interesting.

How many starters did Montgomery and Pendleton Co lose. I also heard that Harris wasn't going to play basketball for Mason Co next year , just concentrate on football.

How do you see the teams in the 10th next season and how would you rate them.

Judging should be based on seasonal play and not all on tournament play.
