The Hulk.......2

The phenomenal play of Jake Bertke this year has really elevated the entire team play of the tigers. His improvement on and off the field has really impressed me, not only me, but many others. I was taking a drive past the Bertke household a few days ago and managed to glance over and see Jake and his mom working on some soft toss and blocking drills. These simple mechanics of the game off the field go a long way and the Bertkes really know how it's suppossed to be done.

The same thing happened to Beechwood about three years ago when they were playing LCA for the All A sectional.

Bergfeld is a clutch hitter. I agree has a lot of heart!

Not really sure. I saw that to maybe a pulled hamstring?

Cameron Vocke should have a breakout year. Cameron is a stud and should be fun to watch these next two years!

Heard Ponzer will be joining his brother at Union.

Who knows where Greg would have been able to play with a healthy back, he was very good. Greg never even got to play a game for Transy.

He was redshirted at Morehead, went to Wright St. then to Pikeville and is currently at Union. He was forced to quit Union due to a knee injury and I believe will be on the coaching staff as a student coach to maintain his scholarship. Injuries and attitude have hurt him, which is a shame because he was a good player.

Talent like Wall or Cousins might not come around, but Knight Leslie Poole are going to come in and do the same. Hood would have been able to play for Billy G, but this is the era of 5 Stars in the bluegrass. Also Pohlgeers is looking at a team from Florida and Mount Saint Joes and Kwolonek is looking at Transy.

On Tuesday Highlands goes to Beechwood for a Varsity scrimmage. Then JV goes over to scrimmage Highlands.

Well i could see Max getting some varsity innings for pitching.......then start JV catcher I think he would be an upgrade from Hyde who started last year.

He didn't catch alot last year.....they started him at third I think. But ya I heard there working him out at pitcher to.

Where would Maschinot go?

Newport has always been a team that everyone said had talent but never put together a team. They have a team this season and its good to see. They aren't deep, but they are pretty athletic and can play with anyone so I think they aren't going to be a quick out. I'll be rooting for them at Rupp.

Max Nussbaum at Beechwood is pretty good started JV last year I believe.

This is Holmes's time of the year. They tend to play to their ability and I think that trend will not change this year. I look for them to make a statement in this game, with Pittman and Rico leading the way. Ill take Holmes by 20.
