Would not donate a penny to that school. They have been crying poor and blaming neighbors for 30 years. If Ky said "get lights or play all away games", they would have lights up in 10 seconds. CCH just received a huge sum of money to give them a new field. They can afford it. They should play all away games until they get lights. Most everyone not affiliated with CCH or one of your Bluegrass board buddies feels the same.

CCH should have to play every game on the road until they get lights. High school football is a Friday night event. Period. Another point that the KHSAA is one of the worst organizations in the US.

Bryce Ashley lettered in 3 Sports by the middle of his sophomore year @ Ryle. Football, Basketball and Track.

We(Ryle) played them both and I am sticking to my original call weeks ago. I think CCH is better and will win this game. They are more physical and it appears that they have replaced their RB and are becoming more mature and balanced with the weapons that they have. Highlands may be able to attack the CCH DB's but I am not sure that the QB for Highlands is accurate enough to exploit them. Not knocking their kids, just don't think that they are as athletic as some of the CCH players. Also, Highlands did not really compete too well against either Ryle or Cooper. Both of those teams are much, much better.

I agree. He absolutely can get better and he does every day. He works hard in practice. I just see way too many people trying to over evaluate every kid and kids at middle school level. These are kids that are going to get better with just experience and practice. I don't see the need to tell a middle school kid to go ahead and drop your shoulders and run over a couple of kids because you are going to have to do so in the future. If need be, Kyle can run over you and I believe that he will do those types of things more and more if the situation presents itself. I am not sure about all of the basketball references as I have not seen him in a basketball game. I think Kyle is a football first kid but I am sure he is talented in anything he chooses to do. I disagree with the statement that he has not scratched the surface of his ability in football. Anyone that has seen him play football and watched some of the things he has done on the field knows that he has more than scratched the surface.

About 99.99 % of the junk on this site is speculation. I am certainly not doubting Tanners performance that day. It was awesome and you can be skeptical all you want. Morgan was not on last years team that beat CCH. We found a way. I think that we would have beaten CCH this year regardless. We will win!

Sorry to bust your CCH bubble. Tanner Morgan is exceptional and played a crazy good game against CCH but without him Ryle is still not losing to CCH. We found a way to win last year and we would have found a way to win this year. We were too athletic for CCH.

There are a lot of factors. The Union Raiders are one positive factor. The biggest difference with the Union Raiders is now kids are able to play at every age level. There are not a lot of kids standing around as 5th and 7th graders watching 6th and 8th graders play and hoping to play a meaningless 5th quarter. The UR is not the only factor to the upswing in talent, but it is a factor.

Just curious. Didn't South Kenton play the Union Raiders last week @ Ryle. What was the result of those games?? Did you skip those or just forgot to report?

Ryle frosh are 4-0 with wins over Lex Cath, Camp Co, Conner, and Boone.

Big question is "How good is the GCL this year?" They have to be crazy good. Elder was picked by many to be near the bottom and they laid a whipping on a pretty athletic team although teams that cannot throw at all these days usually struggle.

My bad. I was speaking in general. I am surprised that he did not stand out against Lex Cath. He is a game changer when he gets his hands on the ball. He may be the difference when CCH plays Highlands imo.

Disagree on the CCH skill players. #4 McGinness is a pretty nice player. He definitely stood out against Ryle.

I have seen both first hand and would have to say this: CCH has gotten beat by better skill players the first three weeks. No disrespect to CCH but Lex Cath is no different. They have the better skill players and will be a handful for CCH. That being said, CCH may pose some problems up front and are a little more physical. I think CCH will pull it together this season but maybe not in this one. I would give the edge to Lex Cath although this has the makings of a good one because both teams are a little desperate to start to get things going in the right direction.

Very good coach but too many good ones to absolutely say best in the area. If that is your opinion that is fine, but there would be plenty of spirited discussions about who is really the best.

Agreed.. They played with plenty of passion against Ryle. High School football is mostly about skill players and who has the better skill players. CCH has played three very good teams with better skill players than they have. They will be fine once they mature. Has nothing to do with passion or coaching.

Have you seen him lately?? You said that he would be better to lower his shoulders. He can lower his shoulders on anyone but chooses instead to run for over 2600 yards and 44 TD's. I believe that those types of stats are separating himself from the rest. Basketball results have little to do with football and his ability to play at the next level, which at this point is high school, not college. These are only 8th grade kids. He could, however start for any freshman team around and probably many of the JV squads as well.

Surprisingly uneducated comment. maybe you have an axe to grind or a certain reason to always bash or put down Ryle's receivers but Morgan has thrown to 9 different receivers, 4 have scored TD's and Ryle has the number one receiver in NKy. You may want to actually know what you are talking about in this case before posting comments that don't make much sense.

Too much respect by the Ryle players to the Boone players and too many good kids on the field playing for Boone to talk like this. Have to suit up and play the game.

Good to see Camp Co with some nice players and a good frosh group. What are some of the other frosh teams doing. I have not seen much on frosh football yet this season. I know Ryle has a decent team again. They are 2-0 so far with wins over (not sure about week one but I thought it was against Camp Co) and Lex Cath. They take on Conner tonight.

I do not know how you question the "motor" of a kid in the 8th grade. I believe that his "motor" is just fine! I have also personally witnessed Kyle lower his shoulder on plenty of occasions. Last I checked a running backs job is to score. Kyle's ability to make people miss and run to day light for TD's is one of his best gifts. I know you are complimenting him, so not trying to be harsh but I would rather have Kyle continue to do what he is doing rather than prove to some fans that he can lower his shoulder. He lowers his shoulder when he needs to.
