I expect Padgett to get the nod at QB for the Cougars this season and I think he will continue to improve as the season progresses. His teammates must respect him to elect him as a team captain as a junior. Now he needs to go out and lead this young Cougar team and be the leader this team needs. Use Martin in the slot and move him all over the place to get the ball in his hands. Kid can make some plays. Best of luck to the Cougars Friday night.

What in world does Drew Barker have to do with this thread? But to answer your question, Drew would of played wherever the coach would have wanted him to play to best help the team out. He sure as heck wouldn't of quit on his team and attempted to transfer. Barker played multiple positions during Pee Wee football. He played wherever the coach told him to play.

Could not disagree more with this statement. Football is the consummate team sport where guys do play for the man next to them. It's all about individual sacrifice for the good of the team. When people on a team play for their teammates and are held accountable to the good of the team, magic happens on the field. That's what it's all about.

If it were me coaching, I would have a hard time letting AF back on the team. He made a choice to leave the team for what he perceived to be greener pastures. It didn't work out. He needs to learn a hard lesson here. I am big on loyalty and imho, he disrespected his teammates and coaches when he chose to leave for CCH. Life is about three things; Choices, Decisions, Consequences. Boone should move on without him and not look back. I would want to go into battle only with guys who wanted to be there and have demonstrated that with their loyalty to the program. I'm old school and that's why I think the way I do. I wish Boone the best this season and hope they stay injury free and have much success.

Was the Hoge boy originally in the 2014 class? For some reason, that seems correct. I could be wrong here, just asking.

The key is playing on a team that wins a state championship. Huge factor.

They just should of put turf in when the school was constructed and contracted for a total of 3 turf fields for a discount. They could of followed with Boone, then completed Conner's field.

After trailing 21-0 in the 3rd quarter, the Conner Cougars came back to steal one on the road at Campbell County 35-28 during the 2012 season. The Cougars scored with about 7 seconds remaining to seal the deal. Fun game to watch.

IMO, no way CCH should of allowed him to practice/workout with them until approval was blessed the KHSAA.

So if AF cannot play at CCH, he will still get a great education, right? Or will he go back to Boone? How would his teammates treat him if he came back? This is unfortunate for the young man. Hope it all works out.
