The defense is where the improvement was. Betsy had virtually nothing doing on offense. They struggled to move the ball against Bracken. Its hard to believe that Bracken lost more than Betsy from last years team and it was this big of a turnaround in performance.

Houston went 5-14 with 46 yards and a touchdown 3 of the inc. were drops. Rigg rushed 18 times for 90 yards and TD. Honan rushed 16 times for 113 yards and a TD

The way BL beat them last year 38-7 and them returning virtually everyone while Bracken lost McClain, I had doubt this would even be a game. I was shocked with the way they played. Brackens defense probably didnt give up over 50-60 yards on the night.

Bracken looked really good tonight.

I talked to one of Bracken's coaches. It was a Houston He's a junior and around 6'3.

The Qb looked to be a solid player, The kid looked around 6'3 or 6'4 range with a solid arm. He threw a nice touchdown pass, he was #9.

He looked good, Bracken split carries between 3 or 4 backs, 45 and 10 both were tough little runners.

What number was he?

They played really hard. They were probably outgained 250+ yards to 30 yards or thats the way it looked from the stands not sure but they continued to fight on. I think Bracken would probably win this game if it was in season but it was positive to see the kids from Trimble fighting and clawing it out.

IMO Bracken was the more impressive team in this one, Trimble really struggled to move the ball. Good luck to both teams this year.

I think I'll take the Bobcats in a close one 24-14. Who and When is BL scrimmaging.

What's prediction between them and betsy layne?

Are there any assistants still at the school? Who is leading workouts?

Who is Arzen? What does he teach?

Any word on when this job will be filled? Any names on who is interviewing?

Anytime we saw a 4-4, you could guarentee seeing Four Verts all night.

I've played it with two 1's. I think some teams vary though. good defense overall.

South Laurel runs a variation.

I wouldn't really think they should have won the district, Corbin did beat them all three times. I watched Whitley play at Clay and the parents/fans were on this guys back all night. It was ridiculous. 3 losses to Corbin, 1 to Bell, 1 to Clay, 1 to Perry Central, I don't think Whitley should have beat any of those teams.

Rumor in London is that Billy Hicks might be interested. South will be alright long term. Like anyone else Wright done good there when he had the horses and was bad when he didn't. However I still think he is a great high school coach.

South had more talent than North last year but there was just a lot of conflict going on over there. The SL class of juniors to be is the best class to come through since '05. I could be wrong though the Laurel schools have always had a way of underachieving.

Lynn Camp won't beat either of the Laurel Schools, Whitley, or Middlesboro. The other ones are toss ups.

They are simply more athletic than probably every team in 3a. They would have been the best 3a team regardless of who they played early in the season.

I do believe Harlan has a coach that put a running clock on the birds in the past with less talent than he has at Harlan.
