It's not on the KHSAA public page any longer. It use to be published at the end of their update bulletin and once per year for the entire past year. Haven't seen the list in a long time....

The current concession stand design is deplorable. The architect for that project should be relegated to designing dog houses.... Now if they can just install a high fence area where parents can drop their kids and lock them in during the game so they are not running around like wild banshees and acting a fool a CCHS game might be tolerable.....

Well of course they do...where do you think their game research comes from ? BGP provides a 360 view of where a sports writer can't be at all times. A testament to the product and times we live in....

Pre-season for many is basketball or another sport that immediately precedes softball....no such thing for a multi-sport athlete to "take off" the "pre-season". It only impacts travel ball and player development IF the summer coach is a high school coach. Heck if you played for @RCC9 or @Lawnboy13, you probably need a couple weeks of peace and quiet ! :dancingpa

The purpose of this rule is to allow FAMILIES a break from the pressure, real or perceived, to put their kids on the field, court, etc...or risk being penalized if they don't. The same mindset you are employing about summer ball, not high school ball, is part of the reason kids need a break. The rule wasn't put in place to penalize any particular sport, it was put in place because ADULTS demonstrated their inability to understand that FAMILY is more important SPORTS. If the KHSAA doesn't implement a mandatory dead period, then the pressure to play is real and doesn't allow the families to get a break from the year round grind of sports. Dead period is a necessary evil imposed because of lack of judgement by adults at some point...

By reading this thread is sounds like a delay was clearly and obviously happening. I wouldn't put this as an experience v less experience officiating situation. It sounds as if the official accurately applied the correct ruling to the correct situation.

My take on the 2016 Team: Chase Keller, as a senior quarterback, should bring some nice leadership to this team. Chase is an all around athlete and his ability to move around and make plays happen will be key for this BBHS team as it has been in past years. Watch out for sophomore Tyler McDonald. This kid has a big upside, has good size, very athletic and will provide help in multiple areas of the offense. Bryce Donnelly, another multi-sport athlete will factor large into this offense scheme. Bryce may be one of the fastest in NKY on the turf. I like Jake Martin, Matthew Blank and Brady Dennis in the trenches. All three of these young men will be heavily counted on to lock it up and engage their counterparts, all have worked very hard and they each hold good frame sizes that will help this team immensely. I'm also a fan of Derek Schadler, kid is solid, playing at the OLB position, I believe he has the quickness to suck up large quantities of field and his pure effort should make him a force. I predict he will lead the team in tackles if he stays healthy. My sleeper is Nate Bezold. Only a sophomore, I think this kid has lots of football in front of him. Good focus and effort. Should fill gaps nicely and could turn into a nice MLB. Good luck to the Mustangs this year. As always, it's tough to field a football team at a small school, but these kids all have heart. BBHS will host a Green & White / Meet the Team on August 5 @ 7:00 PM at the Gilbert Ridge Practice Facility.

No stone throwing....just a curious look at historical suspensions and some names and avatars that are in the dead pool....it just seemed like several contained within this thread.
