  1. I'm pretty sure the site issues are set through 2020 or possibly 2021 aren't they ? I don't think this is a factor for a couple years. Could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure sites are set.
  2. Everyone in Mason County except for the old Bulldogs would be against this. While the gym has a very well respected charm, it's difficult to heat (I think they have heat...) and the parking is at least as bad as Bracken on a big night. No advantage to playing at this site other than nostalgia.
  3. How many passes you get anyway ?!?! :lol2:
  4. ....then me and my partner go to the locker room for a refresher course on game management responsibilities.....
  5. This is preventative. Non-administering official should have held everyone until free throws and half ended. This is an officials error, so in my view, even if recognized, it was because the officiating crew didn't maintain control of their game, and hard to penalize due to that. My opinion.
  6. Use the power of the force and lead the way….nothing worse than a sheared $300 bat because of air temps...
  7. Mustang Senior Matthew "Game Day" Blank To Sign To Play His College Football At Division I Morehead State It was announced on Thursday that Brossart Senior Footballer Matthew "Game Day" Blank - 6'3", 290 lbs - has committed to sign to play his college football at Morehead State University. Coach Paul Wiggins reported that Blank made an official visit this past weekend and has been promised a roster spot for the 2017 Eagles. Congratulations to Matt Blank and the Brossart Football Program! Blank becomes the first Mustang in the history of the program to sign Division 1. (Thanks to @Mustang for this writeup from BMustangs site)
  8. Season should be shortened and played solely in April. Little to no value in games the last two weeks of March, for everyone. Play more games per week and get rid of the March - Rain Outs, Snow Outs, Cold Outs.....stupid scheduling and no fun.
  9. Looking for clarification here: Are you saying that BC wins the region and makes it to the quarterfinals of the State Tournament ? Is that your prediction ?
  10. It's like deja vu all over again....
  11. Biggest part of your inability to understand....you don't know what you are talking about and you don't care to listen. You "thinking" closing enrollment happened years ago is not accurate, but you continued to attempt to build your argument / discussion on false information. Seek first to understand, then to be understood...
  12. Stop trying to feed someone else's dog and maybe you don't get bit ...
  13. Your view of objectivity is much like your self view....impossible to see the back of your head from inside your colon
  14. So now we know the secret menu at CCHS concession stands....been trying to crack that code for years...
  15. "how Highlands fans are always so boastful and proud like high school football is the world and they're above everyone else" As Dean Wormer would say:..... nevermind, I would have to explain it....
  16. I have taken in strays all my life....what's one more ?
  17. This is fairly telling. I know a lot of Highlands fans, I don't know of any that I would consider "boastful" nor do they act like "they're above everyone else"...I believe that is an internal construct you have created. Since it seems you have some difficulty understanding some of the information you read, an internal construct is when a person creates a reality that they believe, without the presence of any true data to back it up. We get that you have found your niche with a down Highlands football year, so good for you. You're inability to actually carry on a debate without any data allows you to continue a one sided "debate"...... Your personal attacks show your true character....and given that you, I will assume, are not friends with any Highlands football fans, you should just stop acting a fool and attempting to insult people. Highlands football fans, like fans of other schools, are great supporters of their programs....I suggest you find a team to support.... You will never have the privilege of understanding what a program like HHS is like...we all feel sad for your loss. :isurrender:
  18. I wish there were a Cricket emoji....another poster who couldn't make soup in the winter, so they dredge up a big pot of nothing.:idunno:
  19. Not true, but I get the premise of your argument...and don't necessarily disagree. Start time and intermission / quarter breaks are set for a reason. Your complaint should be to league admin though, pretty likely that an official who is changing these to fit their schedule won't respond in the affirmative.
  20. @Basketball12345 Great Post ! (and not just because you take a positive officiating side) I had a Varsity coach ask me the other night "do all the kids you see make faces when a foul gets called"....yep, most do. That same coach "explained" to a player that had just been whistled for a foul and was being benched that the foul was on him and not anyone else... As for parents, I agree with @lawildcat if parents would just learn to watch and enjoy and not blame, it's so much more fun. I didn't learn this lesson until waaayyyy late in the game (my last son's senior year) but when I quit finding excuses for why, I found I enjoyed the experience so much more...only sad I didn't learn it sooner.
  21. Depends on who is assigning or if people are just working games for cash. I think that part of the KHSAA mandate for middle schools springs from issues related to lack of supervision / training / game management. But to your point, probably not a lot in majority of cases.
  22. 1) Completely agree that officials should be giving full attention to their game at that time, irrespective of level...that's the deal 2) Much like all other professions, a bad official should not make a cumulative response to all officials. 3) @NKYBandit - your global statements are weak at best, good luck watching a game with no officials. I'm sure you have a whistle and I can get you a shirt so you can hone your craft. 4) Grade & Middle School is generally a training ground for officials. they should have oversight, evaluation and feedback from seasoned officials on proper execution of their duties. 5) @PP1 I find this atrocious and would encourage you to talk to administration about this so it can be addressed. Unfortunately, some people are "on the clock" when they officiate and do not make it about the kids first.
  23. Probably one of those Spalding balls anyway....
  24. I heard they didn't have a ball to present to her during this game ? I distinctly remember that in the past (not sure about this year) that 1,000 point scorers had a ball already set up, signed, etc... to present during game stoppage, but that didn't happen here. To be fair, it was a boy's 1,000th, didn't see Jolly's so I can't compare. Is this a slip or do they no longer do that ? Just curious
