  1. I have seen this golf cart and it's operator....you are definitely onto something here
  2. Seems to me the "hate" is on Woodford...but I'm guessing it's coming from Scott County
  3. Pretty good assessment...too bad that there isn't enough political pull in NKY to get NKU to realize what a rock solid recruitment tool this could be...(not referring to softball necessarily). You could pair this Memorial Day tournament with some guided tours, maybe even get NKU softball (I'm sure there are some players around) to show around the campus and complex. Great PR move. I get that NKU has to have some $$$ to run things, but as usual, they go overboard and make it not about any sense of community or service, just strictly about the cash. A shame that KY tax dollars go to put this place together and keep it running and they can't give a little back to the local community in the form of an even price break.... Liked it a lot better when it was 5 buildings and lots of parking....
  4. Brossart falls short, turns in some great performances overall. Wins the 4 x 400 going away. Great showing in that race by Northern Kentucky schools. This closes out my high school sports parenting career…..it's been a good ride, I'm glad my kids let me tag along. ….but don't worry, I'm not going anywhere.
  5. A little short. School record in 4 x 100 and Joey Hickman gets it in the open 400. 4 x 400 team wins by 2+ seconds going away.
  6. Tough loss by BBHS by 4 points today. Some excellent places and a strong winning performance in the 4 x 400 relay. Northern Kentucky showed very well in the 1A meet today, in particular in the 4 x 400.
  7. Just two really good teams battling….lots of nice players on these teams.
  8. Irony, irony was the word you were looking for…. :isurrender:
  9. Who blamed Villa ? Just asked why if your site doesn't meet the requirements, you can host at an alternate site. What typically happens in these situations is that you get use of the field, but limited use of all the other facilities. (See post #3) NKU has been able to work this out prior, but not this year. Asking if an AD has ever hosted a Region before is a legitimate question, in particular in this case since they are not home hosting. The coordination is a much greater deal and you have limited leverage to get all the pieces put in place. As for coaches figuring out if they have a problem with St Henry facility...the answer to that is "yes" I believe. (See post # 9) Having all your first round games on one day is fair, having an extra day for 2 teams could mean the difference between going to Owensboro or not. Overall it appears that the site approval for 9th Region has far less participation and interaction than the 10th Region site approval plans....maybe that's part of the issue ?
  10. Be watching these fine young men close and hoping for a repeat !
  11. How did that go ? (and I will assume that Villa's baseball field meets the District requirements, which are very similar to the Region requirements) but their softball field does not ? Didn't we see this play out at Beechwood already ?
  12. KHSAA Site Specifications.pdf
  13. So the two teams that play Monday get an extra day before the semi's ? How will it be determined who gets the extra day off ? Seeding or blind draw ? Hasn't it historically been first round on Memorial Day ? Also don't understand why even if it's your "turn" to host Region, that you get to host even if you don't have regulation facilities. I assume that St Henry field meets Regional regulations ? (I don't know, just asking)
  14. Nice attempt...you do know that getting to 15 and killing the game is what happened, right ? Nothing to see here....move along....
  15. Welcome to BGP. Nice 3rd post for just rolling around reading and found this thread. If you read the entire thread, you would have seen the posts about what Pendleton County could have done and didn't. If you have seen much of any softball you would know how you don't let this happen. If you don't understand this, then that's too bad.. This thread has run it's useful life….the fact that someone would still try to defend this at this point is tiring...
  16. BBHS Boys Looking to Repeat at State. #winstate
  17. As long as you are there for 1A !
  18. There is no ITB for post season. Clarified yesterday.
  19. Probably just some really good umpiring...really, really good....
  20. Uncle Joey will provide that press release I'm certain....wait patiently.... Almost forgot: Welcome to BGP Royaldogs...interesting that you bring these stats up and look for feedback. Enjoy.
  21. It sounds like you want something that your DD has limited interest in or doesn't care about. Maybe she is not interested in the same path as your previous DD…. If it were me, I would focus on what you have under your roof and what she wants rather than what's under someone else's control…just some feedback.
  22. I'm certain he knows, and I'm pretty certain you don't...
