Final from Independence tonight. The Pandas are solid all around and played very well. The Pioneers played fundamentally awful D. Looked like bad news bears at times. Gave NDA an awful lot of extra outs to work with cause of bad D and the Pandas took full advantage

Once again these young girls at simon wont get better until they get a coach that has real practices.their coach now is a joke.

That's sad cause you can tell many of the young girls had been coached well in the past , really love the game, and to get to this point and not pushed to get better is terrible.

They have 3 outstanding 7th graders but no one to lead them.if they had a good coach they could be a powerhouse.im told some players are making it clear they are not happy.sad to see that much talent constantly wasted or ruined..

BTW, NewCath is at SK today @5:00.

Seems to me that the SK coach has done pretty well over the past few years.

 

Just curious: Are you new to the SK system or is this is a historical axe you are grinding ?

Lb they can start by having practices.jv/v scrimmages and telling them what they do wrong dont work.ive seen practices where the rt fielder dont even see a ball hit her way.wth.hes done good the past few years because of travel ball players and the work they have done not him.btw i have a daughter that plays travel ball since i live in simons district.but she would rather not play and just practice her hitting and fielding instead of wasting away at sk

I'm not the one bashing the current coach. You sound like the typical "Power Parent" (to steal that term from other threads), criticize, complain, and try to make someone lose their job. I say, grab a whistle and a clipboard and get out there and do it yourself. If you aren't willing to then shut up about it. I mean, a comment here or there questioning a move by a coach is one thing, but every one of your posts is like a personal crusade against this coach. Get out there and do it yourself and see it's not as easy as it looks and people like you only make it worse.

TRUST ME, every school has the drama/pain of dealing with parents......unfortunately it comes with the territory.

Just be prepared to relinquish your credentials to Bird Brain when he doesn't approve of your comments.

People like you defending a coach like that is why they never have older players. I would gladly and happily do it without hesitation. Just one problem. He's still there. I just think he should change his practice philosophy. As everyone knows you cant get better unless you practice.

Looks like they had a good outing last night beating NC.

 

I would think that SK has some sort of grievance process.

Have you actually discussed it with the coach? The AD? or just BGP?

As an outsider to the program looking in....I have taken my daughter who is 9 to a few games cause she plays softball and likes to watch. SK needs a lot of work with fundamentals. I also noticed there is no in game coaching. The teams they played coaches never stopped talking to the girls during play and in between imnings. I don't know the coach or much about the program but I was very unimpressed. On a side note you can't compare to the NewCath coaches we all know Denny Barnes and our own @Lawnboy are two of the best : )
