  1. I firmly believe that there is no such thing as excessive celebration by the players. You win, you can celebrate any way you want. There's only excessive whining and sour grapes by the losers.
  2. Elder is still #18 in Ohio. That's incredible considering they are 2-6. Their opponents include: Trinity #1 in KY and #2 in Nation, St Edwards #6 in Ohio and #44 in Nation, Central #7 in Florida and #29 in Nation, St. Xavier #2 in Ohio and #12 in Nation, Moeller #1 in Ohio and #2 in Nation. CardinalsFan, let's hear who you think played a tougher schedule in the country. We'll be waiting patiently. HHS should not take this 2-6 team lightly.
  3. I believe it's Maxpreps ranking. If someone is a member, can you please verify for me.
  4. CovCath scored 37 points. The most scored by an NKY team against Highlands in over 13 years. I'd say not even close. Plus their most difficult opponent is Elder and they have not played them yet.
  5. I would be very comfortable with Matt Summe filling in for Blake Bir if the need were to arise.
  6. Most surprising win of the year in NKY and maybe the state.
  7. Elder has played the most difficult schedule in the country I'm told.
  8. Just click on the same link that you click on for the live broadcast. They'll be out there. And thanks!
  9. Also, sorry we were not on the air. There were some personnel and technical issues. First game we've missed since we've been on the air. Actually the pressure of the streak was just getting too great. It had to end some time.
  10. TOG, facts or not, any time you start out a summary talking about the disparity in penalties and their effects, it's going to appear as complaining. Just the way it is, even if your intentions were to state facts. Since it was one of your initial points, it seems like it was a main point in your summary. It's escalated in a 49 point blowout. Those are facts.
  11. I can't believe the penalties are even a discussion. It's annoying.
  12. Has CovCath won a regular season game at any level against Highlands football teams since John Wehry's 43 yard TD pass to John Shouse against the JV as time expired in 2006? Yes, just curious for personal reasons. :ylsuper:
  13. Thanks TOG. And interview with Merrill Hoge at halftime is worth the time.
  14. Thanks Sweep. Some of you may recall that last year we covered the regular season matchup of the freshman and it was the same time that the Reds played the Phillies in game one of the playoffs. Yes, CovCath lost and it was disappointing, but I did get to miss the no hitter against my Reds!!! And there's more interest in this game than some schools have in their varsity game. That's why we're there. And the kids love going back and listening.
  15. Catch the game live on CovCath Internet Radio. Click here.
  16. There is an excellent chance that we'll be broadcasting this game on CovCath Internet Radio.
  17. No sarcasm, just using words from a local media member who quoted Dale Mueller to me on Saturday saying this is his best team. And if weather is a factor, it's going to benefit the best running team. I think we know who that is going to be.
  18. Wow, it's pretty hard to pick against a guy with all those state championships, but after seeing this staff almost pull the upset against Dale's best team ever, I really like our guys. And when CovCath fixes a couple of things from Saturday's game, I really like our chances.
  19. For one, there was nothing for you to agree with me on since I just posed a question. You brag about how Highlands coaching staff is better yet you say they would have a chance to win if they were coaching CovCath. My point was heck, our coaches had a chance to win. I would have thought you would give them more than just a chance to win the game if they are so much better. It is refreshing though to know that you think CovCath has players that are good enough to beat Highlands. You just never know, maybe our guys can figure out how to utilize all that talent.
  20. C'mon, the CovCath coaches had 4 chances to win from the 15. I thought Dale and his staff would be given more than a chance to improve 6 measley points.
  21. So are you saying that Dale could coach the CovCath players and win?
  22. All those things went in Highlands favor and they were still two inches away from losing. Not good.
  23. Some of them are what they are Clyde. Like the scorpian and the frog. It's their nature. But I'm sure Jake will appreciate your comments. He's working his rump off. Nice to see it paying off. Having his way with every d-line he's gone up against. Loved the quote by Coach Dale in the paper about having to remind his team they won. Sound like a bunch that really enjoyed looking up at the SCOREBOARD.
  24. Dan Sandfoss is the only junior. Henderson is going to open his own IHOP with all his pancakes. I mean, jake-cakes.
