Glad to see CCH line up X for a tough JV match up. I was hoping they weren't going to play Grant County.

Was somewhat surprised by the close score of the game, as the JV played a lot of minutes last night vs Harrison County and most of the players I am guessing didn't hit the sheets at home, until sometime after 1am as the team bus didn't pull into CovCath until sometime after 11:30 and then playing at 10am makes it a long, long day.

Now X played a lot of players, then of course they carry a lot of players too. We counted close to 80 players who dressed and all were sophomores or so we were told, by the St. X coaches!

That sounds about right. Only stud sophs dress varsity for X. X dresses about 90 for varsity.

I know it is not a "win" but was very pleased with outcome. Most of our players played the entire game, whereas X had fresh players when needed, in fact, multiple substitutes, for any one position. Colonel defense was on the field quite a bit, or at least it seemed that way-most of X's scoring came from long drives. Although Colonel TDs were passing, the wind made it more of a running day on the X side. Sad to see JV season end. Hopefully some more playing time at the Varsity level if our opponents comply. Thanks for always giving the JV a line or two.

Does Holmes not have a JV team?

Does Holmes not have a JV team?

Apparently they do not, Conner does, but from what I heard they did not want to schedule anything going into play off season

I would be very comfortable with Matt Summe filling in for Blake Bir if the need were to arise.

I do not share that same comfort ccradio. I feel as if Sam would step in if the problem arose.
