Kudos to the Doggies! They had a nice tune up for this one. Go Birds!

Has CovCath won a regular season game at any level against Highlands football teams since John Wehry's 43 yard TD pass to John Shouse against the JV as time expired in 2006? Yes, just curious for personal reasons. :ylsuper:

I'm not sue, but man, that's a long time when you consider every level.

Sloppier game than expected from these 2 teams this late in the season. HHS had a slew of penalties. CovCath seemed to have difficulty getting the ball snapped consistently into the shotgun.

Best drive of the game was HHS' drive to start 3rd Qtr. RUN, RUN, RUN, RUN, RUN, RUN, RUN, Play Action Deep Ball to Greene for a TD. Donovan + OL get the credit on that.

Don't be surprised. He's a sophomore!

Not to mention many kids are getting to letter this year due to the blowouts.

The Birds have a ton of receivers and he is going to be a special one.

What I really meant is that he is getting a lot of quality varsity minutes, so I'm surprised he is playing that much JV. But than again, they are so deep it is good for him to get the extra snaps. He is athletic and fun to watch.

No doubt Green is a varsity talent, but how many balls is he getting thrown his way in varsity action? He is clearly behind McCoy, Shehan, and Christian. So he falls in somewhere in a group with Mcgee, Collinsworth, & Turner.

Considering the schedule I would have liked to have seen McCoy QB for a half, and Collinsworth, Turner, and Green in the lineup at receiver. Would have been a nice look to next year playing together and the varsity backup could have gotten some needed snaps.
