Is this the most dominating Highlands team ever?

Featured Replies

Not asking if this is the best ever team - just wondering if they have ever dominated their competition like they have this season?

It's almost like a perfect storm: one of the better teams HHS has had, against a pretty weak schedule.

Oops - title should say "Is this the ..."

When have they been more dominating? Not challenging you, just wanting to know.

I dont think it is. I think this is a VERY good HHS team playing vs an awful schedule.

KentuckyJoe, that's my point - they are completely dominating the competition. Obviously the competition is weak. I looked back through some of the scores of years past and I didn't see anything resembling the blowouts we are seeing this year.

Again, I'm not trying to say this is the best HHS team ever, but I think it looks like the team that has dominated it's competition the most.

Well if you go by dominating their competition, then this team just might be. I would like HHS to play 2 or 3 GCL schools every year and Male and Trinity. Those would be some games I would drive to my brothers house in the Fort to go see. I know they have Elder coming up, but I have seen them play this year and they are really down. Good luck to the Birds going forward, and congrats on another big night.

Not the most dominating because of how they struggled to win against Cov Cath. If/when that rematch happens, that will be an amazing game. I saw the first game. CCH matches well against HHS since CCh strength is their offensive line while HHS is small/quick and will be challenged to handle CCH up front(again). HHS use extra down lineman?

CCH will have to go through Johnsonville first for a rematch. A game that will not be a given!!!

What HHS team would you say dominated it's competition more than this one?

Lorenzen and company

Correct.

Not if you ask a Trinity fan.

??????

I agree that they have dominated week opponents. Wining by 5 over CCH is not in the category of dominance. HHS has never defeated Elder. Is this the year? A likely rematch with CovCath will be a great battle. Offensively, HHS is amazing.

Not if you ask a Trinity fan.

Would you say it was the 2000 team that beat Trinity 49 - 28 in that season's opener?
