Cov Cath played good, but play calling for Ryle was so predictable!

In a game played at Covington Catholic the CovCath "Seniors in Training" defeated the Ryle Freshmen by a score of 21-14.

 

This game was not decided until the second to last play of the game! On that play the Ryle QB threw a pass just out of the reach of one of his receivers on Ryle fourth down as the Raiders were trying to throw a pass for a TD, that was just a hair too far over thrown and went for an incomplete pass.

 

CovCath then took the ball over on downs and ran just one play that killed the clock to end the game.

 

It was a exciting game from start to finish but I am sure both coaches were not happy with the amount of turnovers each team had tonight.

I'm guessing this fella came over from the soccer team. What an advantage to have such weapons waiting in the wings to join coming from another sport.

Another very good game by the CovCath defense.

They had one bad drive and on that one I think Ryle had third and long 2or 3 times.

Ryle's #24 kill them on that drive.

The fumbled punt at the end of the second qrt. changed the game from Covcath winning by 2 or 3 to a game not decided until the end.

I am hearing the CovCath vs Highlands game may be played on next Friday.

Unfortunatly Ryle didn't use #24 more, I guess they like the RB rotation method.

I think it's wise to use and develop as many players as possible as freshmen. You never know what you might of had if you don't give players a chance to play in real game situations and see how they develop.

And thus is why Ryle is a program that will stay on top, as Ryle understands at the Frosh level you develop talent!
