Hard to say, in high school sports, that a team is in a rebuilding phase but I think at the start of the summer that is exactly where the Tigers will be. They could start out a little slow, but by playoff time they should be fine. Noel has the young team focused and hitting it hard in the weight room.

Congrats, Tricia and HC. Tricia's got a big target on her back.... pretty, a celebrity and knows more about basketball then most of the guys on this site. Hopefully HC makes her the JV coach for next year... these guys will loose their minds.

Not sure, but I think that was asked prior and if I remember correctly someone answer that it was. Good athlete. Shame he gave up football this past year.

Aiden Beiger is also an 8th grader that has been playing jv/varsity all year. Did not play middle or freshmen all year.

Hard to quantify anything that isn't varsity. Just think of the kids this year that did not participate in the freshman tourney.... Jefferson and Beiger from BW... also, Thelen and Davin from CCH. I'm sure at most schools, especially the smaller ones, the best freshmen have to play up. This is more common in baseball and less common in football.

When HC and CCH met for the tripleheader I nailed every game and was close on the scores. Today, I predict a good day for CCH. JV wins by 4 and Freshman (playing really good right now) by 11.

Championship still on for today? Time?

121 Kids? Lot of talent in one place. Should be good. Is Champions big enough for this type of an event.... and spectators?

Well deserved. After dealing with what he had to, in the middle of the year, and then refocusing the kids enough to go as far as they did?.... well done.

I would agree with Coach that it will take a change in the current media makeup for a NKY kid to win this or any other state award. The KY Post did help when it was still around, but now that the Enquirer is the only paper for NKY they have no say in KY as far as voting. edit

By the look of the box scores he is hitting stride. Very good player.

I would have thought by this point in the season Houston and Macke for HC, along with Coldiron for CCH would have transitioned to JV. JV for both must be pretty good.

That was a trial run. If I got those right I was going to take a stab at the 1.5B lotto. Lol. Did any of the frosh boys get JV minutes?.... for both teams.

It would be interesting to see, of that percentage, how much is spent on boy athletes versus girl athletes.
