MJ23 Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 I saw on twitter where Beechwood's Ethan Stringer was selected to participate in the PBR Super 60 Showcase in Chicago. Congrats to Ethan!
Basement Barbers Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Way to go, Ethan! Well deserved. I would have thought Combs would have made this also. He was number 3 in his position... in the country (PBR). I wonder how they determined it.

Basement Barbers Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Combs was also selected. Great news. My mistake.
Voice of Reason Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Congrats to both Stringer and Combs! For those of us who don't know, what exactly is the PBR Super 60?

purple blood Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 Just wondering does PBR matter that much? My boy is a Junior and plays summer ball for a good team. He has had some schools ask about him already. He has a 33 on his ACT. Should he do PBR also?
footmaster Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 Just wondering does PBR matter that much? My boy is a Junior and plays summer ball for a good team. He has had some schools ask about him already. He has a 33 on his ACT. Should he do PBR also? If he doesn't have 3rd party "verified" numbers for say... His 60 yard dash time, throwing velocity, exit velocity, etc... Then yes, he should at least do one PBR event or a college showcase where he can get those numbers verified. If you already have those "measurables" on record and he's already getting exposure on his travel team and high school team... Then he might not need it. I always like to see a kid do one of these events though, so they can get an idea how they really stack up against their peers from an unbiased party's perspective.
The juice Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 Combs exit velocity at this event was 104 mph!!
Voice of Reason Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 Combs exit velocity at this event was 104 mph!! Please explain. What does this mean and how does it compare to other people at PBR?
The juice Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 Please explain. What does this mean and how does it compare to other people at PBR?exit velocity means how fast the ball comes off the bat... This is a new PBR ky record.
katbird Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 I believe Combs finished 2nd at the event for exit velocity..
