  1. Love his game. How are his mates developing around him?
  2. final from Eminence. Carson Williams with 25 & 12, Vince Toftness with 13. Williams also became the first Rebel to ever score 2k in his career. Rebels are now 24-5, Will face either the host Warriors or arch rival Gallatin Co on Saturday for their 4th consecutive 31st district title on Saturday.
  3. Silver Grove has never made while they were in the 10th, but they have been a couple of times in the 9th, last time in the late 70s
  4. I concur with the two above...Henry and Mason- great atmospheres for a regional tournament.
  5. I saw that UHA team several times that year, and their talent was staggering. And, there is no doubt Christian Co beating them was an upset. But, Christian was no slouch. They entered the post season at 20-7.
  6. Bracken Co (10-15) over Brossart (23-5) in 2004 at Campbell Co was pretty big
  7. Villa Madonna made the 9th region tournament in 2009 I dont believe Calvary Christian has been in the regional tournament (9th/10th)
  8. GRC and Montgomery Co both came into the 10th region in the 1965-66 season. One or both had been in EVERY 10th region tournament since. That's over a span of 49 seasons. Wow.
  9. The biggest obstacle to overcome, but once it is overcome, you are right...its contagious. Congrats Augusta.
  10. High school gyms > college arenas for regionals
  11. I saw only the second half. Looked like CCH had problems with Dixie' size, while Dixie was able to handle the CCH full court pressure without too much issue. CCH did hit some threes over the zone, though. How did CCH combat all the size that NCC threw at them in their game earlier?
  12. So, Augusta has Bracken right where they want them now?
  13. Which is the norm for him of late. He had 44 last night at Owen, 41 tonight.
  14. I said he's making a case, not that he would ultimately win POY. Not only has he put up those crazy scoring #s, he has put them up in wins. Anderson has won eight of nine (with the loss being an OT loss to Clark Co), although Owen is the best win of those eight. All that being said, I would still take Carson at this point..I think its averages are more like 24 and 14, though.
  15. Cummins making a strong case of 8th region POY of late.
  16. Shelby won. District pairings are: 29- North/South Oldham and Oldham Co/Trimble 30- Collins/Spencer and Shelby/Anderson 31- Henry/Carroll, then Owen/Henry-Carroll winner and Eminence/Gallatin 32- SK/W-town and Grant/W-V
  17. Owen goes to 23-4 with the road win. Looking forward to ColonelMike's take on the game.
  18. 31st District is posted at KHSAA.org All games at Eminence Seeds in parentheses Monday, February 23rd: (4)Henry Co vs (5) Carroll Co Wednesday, February 25th: Henry-Carroll winner vs (1) Owen Co Thursday, February 26th: (2) Eminence vs (3) Gallatin Co Saturday, February 28th: Wednesday's winner vs Thursday's winner Don't know the dates, but pretty sure the 32nd is at Simon Kenton and the matchups are these: (1) Simon Kenton vs (4) Williamstown (2) Grant Co vs (3) Walton-Verona
  19. What makes it more impressive is that Owen led 19-9 after one, and 29-21 at half. That's 38-19 in the second half for you math majors. Not bad. I would agree that Collins is the chief challenger to Oldham at this point in the 8th.
  20. I saw them in their loss at Owen. I like them, although shooting isnt necessarily a strength, but they can hit perimeter shots ok. They've got a good point guard, they're athletic, got a couple of 6-4/6-5 type of players inside. Maybe when everyone gets in rhythm again off of their injuries, they will be able to pull some of these games out. Assuming they can get by Walton Verona in the district, they'll be a tricky draw no matter if they go into the 8th as a champ or runner-up. Schedule wise, they're not exactly losing to chumps. Recently, East Jessamine was a head scratcher, but GRC, SK, Owen (2X), Collins, and Dixie are all pretty decent teams.
  21. I would say Augusta AND Bracken are happy with today's results on the boys side. Augusta was probably hoping for the green pill for their girls' sake, though.
  22. I think the Collins @ Owen Co game Thursday is the first ever meeting between the two.
  23. Good stuff...appreciate your efforts this week.
