Hi Deacon! For future reference, the powers that be prefer score threads to be in a certain format. In this case, it would look like this:

While Grant did win the other night against Henry, they haven't been playing well as of late. Any opinions on what is causing their recent struggle? Big district game Friday night at Walton- Verona.

I`m not sure . I`ve only seen them once this year and that was early. I`ve read that they have had some injuries and I know they played a tougher schedule than they usually do but they have a lot of seasoned players. Seems they haven`t showed up in any of their big games so far. If anyone has more info on this I am curious as well .

I have seen a good portion of their games this year and I cannot figure this team out. I would venture to say Grant Co. top to bottom is one of the most athletic teams in the 8th. It seems they compete in the first half of every game. At Collins they were only down 2 at the half, then wind up losing by double digits. It looks to me like they just are finding a hard time motivating themselves right now. I have my opinions on where their problems lie, I am just curious as to what others perspectives are.

I saw them in their loss at Owen. I like them, although shooting isnt necessarily a strength, but they can hit perimeter shots ok. They've got a good point guard, they're athletic, got a couple of 6-4/6-5 type of players inside. Maybe when everyone gets in rhythm again off of their injuries, they will be able to pull some of these games out. Assuming they can get by Walton Verona in the district, they'll be a tricky draw no matter if they go into the 8th as a champ or runner-up.

 

Schedule wise, they're not exactly losing to chumps. Recently, East Jessamine was a head scratcher, but GRC, SK, Owen (2X), Collins, and Dixie are all pretty decent teams.
