Austin Cummins pours in 44 points to lead the Bearcats, while Carson Williams scores 31 to lead Owen.

I bet this was a fun game to watch. Cummins has been killing it lately and Carson Williams is Carson Williams.

Anderson playing some good ball right now.

Glenn Drury is the best coach in 8th....NOBODY close!!!!

Cummins making a strong case of 8th region POY of late.

Carson williams by far should be 8th region player of the year.

Carson Williams could quite possibly be the player of the year. However, to say that it's, "by far" is crazy. Cummins is averaging approximately 27 ppg, 6 assists, and 6 to 7 rebounds. He has to be right in the running, if not ahead, of Williams as this points. Has had games at 51, 45, 44, etc etc. Kid is a player and is making a strong case for POY.

Cummins is a outstanding player, although Carson Williams is got a nice point average of around 25, with at least 18 rebounds a game, with 6-7 blocks per game, very impressive

I said he's making a case, not that he would ultimately win POY. Not only has he put up those crazy scoring #s, he has put them up in wins. Anderson has won eight of nine (with the loss being an OT loss to Clark Co), although Owen is the best win of those eight.

All that being said, I would still take Carson at this point..I think its averages are more like 24 and 14, though.

I'd say Williams and Cummins are the two favorites, but Collins' Deion Cochran is making a case for himself. He is averaging over 16 points and 5 rebounds a game to lead a team that has played a much tougher schedule than both Owen County and Anderson County. He is also the top free-throw shooter in the state at 90.4% and is knocking down 3-pointers at nearly 38%. He is a great defender as well on a team that prides itself on tough defense.

I'd agree that Williams most likely gets POY though, with Cummins not far behind.
