While it looks like Frankfort will have to play 3 tough teams in the first 3 weeks, I am going to go with Frankfort and LCA playing in the Championship.

He will be a sleeper for all region. I believe he will be running the point this year for Scott County. Although everyone on the floor for SC runs leads their break at some point and time during a game.

Would agree that GRC have one of the toughest, if not the toughest schedule in the state. Its good for GRC to have tests during the year. As a coach you want your team to have around 8-10 for sure wins and then the rest be tests.

Most of the times when teams practice at 6 am it is so the players can go support the fall sports teams. Most of the time at 6 am practice there is not alot of contact drills and from experience most of the drills are individual improvement. Most coaches also reward the kids and make sure they have a nice meal after practice. It is good for the kids to get up and practice early. It does nothing to hurt these kids to be up two hours earlier than usually. Most teams only do it a couple of times a year anyways.

Any stats on the game? Who will Bourbon play next week?

I would like to see if any other two schools have something like that, it really is a great idea.:thumb:

Paris is more athletic in spots of the field, but as mentioned the problem is the QB is hurried, hit, or sacked a lot everygame because they do not have any size on the line and BOCO averages over 220 on the line. This will be a close game until the end and then Bourbon will pull away with a win. This will be a close game because it is the cross town rivals. Both coaches are doing great things with the programs. I understand a winless season does not show that, but its hard to play when the kids have awfrul attitudes and the both coaches are dealing with that this year.

It would be a good game, I think the only concern is a travel issue.

If you have a kid that is averaging over 225 yards a game on the ground, why wouldn't you give it to him 30 times a game. The Owen comparison is due to the fact that both TC and BC have played Owen this year. I think that BC wouldn't mind to drive to Bedford for a game.

I heard that last years JV coach is now the head assistant for the Varisty, the JV coach from Williamstown has now taken the JV position at Grant County, and the Frosh coach from Grant resigned because he was told he would be the JV coach and then the Williamstown coach was given the job. I was told that many of the parents are extremely upset about the entire situation.

Tates Creek will be extremely tough to beat this year. The are a talented team that will compete for the 11th region title. I think they could upset a team like Scott County or Lex Cath in the 11th region.

Shelton can play, I know he has people looking at him like Georgetown, Berea, Trasny and Thomas More... He will shock a lot of people with his game this year. I have watched this boy grow as a player and he is more than ready.

He has the chance to win the district this year and the maybe next if his guards grow up (underclassmen). Speaking of the district, what's going on Grant County and the Coaching Staff? Did they get a Coach from Williamstown in and lose a Coach from the staff? I was in Grant County the other day and heard there was some upset families in the program.

So you are upset that he is the winnest coach in school history and that he has turned a 3-8 team to a 5-5 ( if they beat paris next week) team in one year? I am sure that is not something to be upset about. If you are upset that he won too many games at Trimble then you cannot accept winning. He has won more game at Bourbon in the last 3 years, sounds fimilar to what he did at Trimble when he turned that program in the right direction. Congrats to PC!

Thats true with West. I know Anderson is in the Top 10 and Shelby is not, but I think alot of people do not put Shelby in the Central Ky area. As werid as it is. I would put them in the top 10 in this as well.

If you had to put them an order of 1,2,3........? Scott Clark West Jess. Not sure of WJ just putting them there because they went to the final four last year and I am pretty sure they return a lot of that team.

Henry is a good team, but Frankfort would give them lost of problems and might even come out with a win. Spead kills and Frankfort might have one of the faster D in the area.

Not everyone or every school can compete on the Varsity level in some sports. If the district wants to have a team, then they should have a team but I do understand the JV idea. You have to walk before you can run and it's easily seen that this team cannot run right now. I believe that they could one day, but until a coaching staff feels the team can win games year in and year out, they should consider an option that allows the kids to learn the game. I know that this is not fair because you will have some kids that can play at the Varsity level, but is it worth the school to put the money aside for this if the kids are not ready to compete at that level? You can vote for both sides on this, but it really comes down to the district and how they want to run the program.
