Pittman was not at the end of the line he was toward the front to middle. Its a shame that he acted that way. For the record Cody Collins was loving every minute of it he's quite a talker himself. He said he was going to get in Pittman's head looks like he succeeded. Best of luck to the Cats!!!

If I were his coach he would not be playing this afternoon. And if he doesn't appreciate what all the peolpe have sacrificed to give him this great opportunity then he should transfer To another country!!! With that being said don't let one bad apple spoil the hole darn bunch.

Not sure if it was the 77 regional finals but Holmes beat Newport in the last few seconds on a very controverisial "no call." Coach Wimzie from Holmes would know. Newport had the Schlosser brothers, Slaughter and Bedford were the guards, Mitch McIntosh played center he's the dad of 2009 Newport graduate David Darnell (and if you thought David was a nice player you should have seen his dad play. At a lanky 6-6 he could wear it out.) Holmes had Roy Meier, Schlomer and was a senior dominated team as was Newport. Both teams were loaded it was a real clash of the Titans. Newport probably had the better team. I'd give anything to get into the time-capsule and see that game replayed it would makes tonights re-match look like a JV regional championship. Pressing, no 3 point shot, the paint was a flat-out brawl The following year is when Shelby County's Charles Hurt denied Holmes its first State Championship by sticking his hand up through the rim and goal-tended the ball.

I would hope the 9th region could afford them perhaps they might re-consider renting the BOK for the regional tournament.

Ahhhh!!! Stop it, stop it... Quit bringing it up. I'm still heart broken what if, what if? I don't have a problem with the blind draw I just can't get over all the bad luck i.e., coach retiring and leaving the boys hanging, new coach, ALL the injuries. And to think a team that had players leave the team is still playing (Boone Co.) Grote and Grubbs would've killed to have been in those boys shoes. NCC blisters the nets during the Districts and couldn't throw it in the ocean last night. Anyhow congratulations to all the teams that have survived and advanced thus far.

I have no idea about Pittman's grades but do they factor in the equation when it comes to Mr. Basketball? I DO NOT DISAGREE with you.

:idunno: I wasn't much of reader when I was growing up I was to busy playing basketball and such. Lil Engine, Lil Train, Lil Fella he's a super little basketball player but not good enough to beat Ricardo Johnson from Covington Holmes HS for Mr. Basketball IMO.

Let's talk about the real front-runner. Somebody thats not a one year under and that has played against some pretty tough competition over the past years. IMO his body of work over the last three years speaks for itself. Great kid and even a better person. Wait til the lights come on at Rupp. No offense to Mr. Sewell I think he's a beast and the Lil Train That Could- Mr Justice or the scoring machine Aaron Watts they're all excellent players and have a bright future ahead. But if you consider what Ricardo has done over the last 2 plus years he should be Mr. Basketball in 2010

I would not be bragging about beating a team when they weren't playing their best and at FULL STRENGTH. How would NCC fair if they were without the services of Pangallo and Geisler? :isurrender: I don't know about you but its a lot sweeter to beat a team when the other team is playing their best and has ALL their horses. Nice break for the other regional contenders. We're not making excuses nor crying sour grapes its just the facts of life. :notworthy:
