Anyone care to post how the teams have fared against each other in the regular season?

Holmes is 8-1, with lone loss coming to Ryle and beating CovCath and Newport twice.

Although the region is more wide open this year, I have to stick with Holmes. Size, speed, athleticism, and most important of all, Defense will carry them to their 4th straight regional title.

:thumb: And you are right on target with your comment about defense. Holmes' success the past couple of years is because they play great defense. It is hard to pick against them. NCC is my second choice. They are playing some great basketball.

I love what Henley has done recently imputting a full court press, which has halted all 3 teams they have used it on, SK, Beechwood, and CovCath. The best matchup will be the 2nd round game of Holmes/NCC given they both advance, Holmes the favorite and NCC the hottest team around heading in.

When Holmes walks on the court you can see their long, lean and mean atleticism, no one compares. We have all seen them let up once they jump out early so the key to their victory is play hard for 32 minutes. This year the two games I have seen them play all the way was Christian County and Princeton. Having said that everybody else has a real shot at the upset. Going to be a great venue. I agree anyone can beat Holmes, but I really don't see anyone else in the region competing with either Christian Co or Princeton the way Holmes did. The bulldogs know whats at stake, and they wont disappoint.

Thought Newport wore Foster out chasing Pangallo. Maybe Boone will keep Gabbard fresh and put Cotton and/or Montgomery on him. Boone has the big bodies in numbers to maybe slowdown Giesler's awesome play. This game to me the least predictable, though I will not totally count out St Henry over CCH if they pick up where they left off Friday.

Sounds like I will be there to take pics regardless of how it all works out and that is a win for me.

Luckily for NCC/Boone the winners next game isn't until Saturday night as that game will exhaust both teams and if the winner had to play Holmes on Friday night, Holmes would blew either out of the water.

 

I think NCC has the best chance to beat Holmes, but has NCC played at the BOKC or a large venue this year yet?

 

Teams shooting the trey seem to have the biggest problem with the larger arenas and NCC needs to hit the treys to stay with Holmes.
