Let me add that for me it goes both ways. I don't want to have to be subjected to a conservative politcal agenda either. Unless he is there to throw out the first pitch the President doesn't need to be mentioned on Sportscenter.

I quit watching ESPN a long time ago other than live games. When I used to watch it was because I wanted to see highlights and boxscores. Seems that there is very little of that anymore. I have no interest in listening to the talking heads speak of deflated footballs and such for 10 minutes, so I really have no interest in having them put a political slant on everything. To me sports are something I enjoy watching as it is an escape for the stress and pressure that comes with day to day life.

I've got a 6S Plus that I could upgrade if I want. So far I'm not in any hurry. I haven't done a lot of research into the new phone but from what I've seen so far, doesn't seem like there is anything new that I couldn't live without or maybe even use much. Might be able to get a good price on a 7 once the 8 / X comes out.

I would disagree. IMO the lack of a passing game is what is keeping them from being able to better compete with teams like Bowling Green.

Landon Board will be very tough to replace. I know big things are expected from Owsley, but you don't usually just replace a player like Board.

It would seem that since they employ a basketball coach but not teachers, that they are using the term school rather loosely.

Looking for some advice from someone who is more tech savvy than me regarding the purchase of a laptop computer for my daughter who is in the 7th grade. She has hinted that she would like a laptop for Christmas. I don't have a huge budget for this so something like an Apple Macbook is not feasible. I was originally looking for an inexpensive windows computer, but began to look into a Chromebook as an alternative. She would likely mostly use it for surfing the web, watching Netflixs, etc. A large amount of her school work and assignments utilize Google classroom for which I assume one of these would be compatible with. From a cost standpoint it appears that the Chromebook would be the way to go. However, is it simply a tablet with a built in keyboard, or is it capable of doing more types of computing. Compared to a basic windows laptop does it have any major drawbacks. Any particular features I should focus on making sure that the Chromebook has, or would it just be better to go ahead an purchase a windows laptop. Any tips or advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

I would think that if you can replace the hard drive that odds are the computer will be fine. I have an Apple iMac that I purchased in late 2007 and have never had any issue (other than immediately replacing the apple mouse that came with it. I hate the apple mouse).

I think that really all Owensboro needs to do is develop a dependable passing game. I'm not saying that they need to abandon the run as they normally do that really well, but they need at least the threat of a passing game. I've not watched any middle school football, but it is my understanding that the Owensboro middle school teams have lost very few games the last couple of years including some wins over Bowling Green. I'd guess (perhaps incorrectly) that at the middle school level passing isn't a big part of any teams offense. That is likely a big reason why the success of the middle school teams at Owensboro doesn't always translate to the high school level. Watching Bowling Green vs. Owensboro last week to me that seemed to the the biggest difference is that Bowling Green can stretch the field. Owensboro can't and it allowed Bowling Green to load up the box which really slowed down their running game.
