Thought Beechwood was overrated? This game will be in the 70s since neither team really plays defense. You never know what Newport team will show up though so it will be a wait and see thing.

Pittman had a little something to say to Maile while he was standing at the line too.

Arnold is still a work in progress IMO, but he is only a soph. What is wrong with Sorrell? He wasn't in uniform.

How wouldn't they face it? Are you saying this Highlands team plays better defense than Holmes last year?

When Pittman drove the lane in the first and went up for the throw down on Maile, I knew it was over. Had he made that, I saw the roof coming off the place.

I believe Beechwood is in the best district in the 9th region and they know defense.

I would say that some teams like Beechwood wouldn't mind it, but you can't really expect the other teams to want to play bigger schools. As for the ballot, Hall was on the all conference team and Romes so the coaches didn't snub Beechwood.

Riley missed at least 3 three pointers and a runner late that I remember. Maschinot had 1 three and a solid drive. This game wasn't really close though. On a side note, Holmes needs to develop a bench because when they sub(other than Housley) their lead shrinks.

They didn't have a large number of turnovers. They didn't quit or stop playing when they got down, I think that was one of their better games.

I agree with you on that part of the overall game.

Ugly game to watch. Lots of missed layups by both teams. Trimpe had a great game, but I don't understand why Newport put their shortest guy(under 6'0 ft) on him?

I said Murry would have a good game, the kid is top 10 in that region. Scott could end up at Rupp.
