Bryan Station is out of the Lexington District. That will be very different.

I'm not saying they don't deserve it but I know PRP lost most of their skill kids from last year and they were pretty much a strictly speed team. There quarterback is back if I remember right but he didn't do a lot. Why are they getting a lot of pre season hype? Do you they have some new kids out or something?

Don't get me wrong MBA is going to be the favorite on paper but I will give you all the credit in the world for seeing Dunbar play a football game and it's June :lol: Maybe that's why the Private Schools are so good because they play in a "Private" Summer League that no one knows about. lol

I won't say that Trinity has a lot of great skill kids but a lot of people judge talent on how fast they run a 40 yard dash, and I can pretty much gurantee take any team in the weightroom agains Trinity and it's no comparison. Trinity's kids don't look like studs or speed demons but they are more physically developed at this point in time. Trinity has an unbelievable weight room. I know EKU doesn't have one that nice and I haven't seen WKU but if they do that' s a colllege choice I would want to make. I don't know for sure but I would love for one day to figure up how many starters on Trinity can bench 315 or more and then I have a feeling many people will begin to see how far ahead they are from everyone else.

I kind of agree with you. But I would LOVE to see Highlands in the 5A class or whatever the highest class is. They dress like 85 players they will not be ran off the field from fatigue by Trinity and St. X like some teams do.

I think he ment 4A in the 5A class. Yes Covington Catholic is 3A as of now.

Dunbar has a great non district schedule next season of MBA, Madison Central, PRP, and Ryle. Dunbar should have a nice season.

I didn't go to this game but what happend to Hazard? I've seen Madison Central and they are good but come on Madison Central couldn't beat Madison Southern like this. I mean is this the best Hazard's region could offer was a loss like this to Madison Central?

I have not seen Hazard but I saw Scott County and that team was impressive and for Madison Central to beat them is like bringing down a giant. Madison Central beating Bryan Station, a very good Woodford County who beat Dunbar pretty bad, and Scott County maybe the best team in the state on paper is three impressive wins. Hazard will have their hands full.

On paper no one can argue that the team in this district with the most returning players is Scott County. They should be very tough to beat.

I agree this was talked about a few weeks ago counting boys and in Lexington Bryan Station could be moved down and Lexington Catholic could move up. But I thought the idea was passed over but maybe something has changed in the last few weeks?

Your hate for Lexington Schools is all the response I need. You never cared about the boycott against Lexington Catholic you hate the Lexington Schools and you tried to cover that up by the Lexington Catholic boycott. Now I guess we will buy out of the MBA contract even though Dunbar made the contract. That makes a lot of sense. You are right you had no intentions of posting in this thread. Because it's good for the FCPS and bad for people who hate them. You had plenty of intentions to post in the Dunbar vs. Montgomery Bell thread and you had no problems calling Dunbar scared and afraid in that thread because they were ducking Lexington Catholic. I really have nothing against Trinity at all. I will be the first to wish them good luck this year. You are the state champions and your program is a class act. I wish Trinity the best.

Where is everybody are they still in the Dunbar vs. MBA thread? I thought this day would be like Christmas to some Trinity fans.

This is good news for people who are part of these schools and live in the area. There are some things still to work out for the 2007 season. Catholic has a problem of being in the biggest district in the world they have 7 district games. Lexington Catholic most likely will renew their games with Scott County and St. X so that only leaves one opening and that's the bluegrass bowl on opening night. Hopefully a good deal can be met by Dunbar and Lexington Catholic and they can play on opening night in 2007.

David Hensley, head coach of Dunbar called and told me today that he received word from the higher ups in the school system that the Boycott is no more. FCPS Coaches have freedom to schedule anyone they want to. Lexington Catholic and Dunbar's schedule's are full for 2006. But Coach Hensley and Coach Letton are trying to work out a game for 2007.

This is getting old. Dunbar can't play Lexington Catholic this year. Catholic has nine games and they are suspended for their first game which was Dunbar's open game that they scheduled with MBA. Dunbar's schedule is set. David Hensley and his staff have pretty much been together for the last four years back into East Jessamine days. And yes, EJ played Lexington Catholic twice. Lexington Catholic comes to the Combine for college coaches run by the public schools. Bob Sphire is friends with David Hensley and many of the other Lexington Coaches. At EJ David Hensley scheduled Lexington Catholic in freshman and in jv games. This fake rivalry you are trying to create is getting old. Yes, it would be a nice football game. That's it, a nice game. They are 3A and everyone else is 4A. No one forces Trinity to play Central. They are a good 3A team so I guess Trinity shouldn't get any respect until they play them. I assure you if Trinity beats MBA they will get respect from me and every other team in the State. But I guess if Dunbar does the same it still doesn't matter until they play Lexington Catholic. And for everyone's personal information Lexington Catholic was a BREATH from being in 4A next allignment. Their was an idea that football numbers in school should only be counted for boys and Lexington Catholic has more boys than Bryan Station. Bryan Station was going to move to 3A and it looked like Catholic may take their place. It was changed the day after this idea and numbers will be counted for girls as well. If you want to bark at someone go to the Board of Education down on Main Street and complain. Leave Dunbar out of it.

This is personally why I don't like this thread. The thread is named Dunbar in general and it singles them out like they are the reason that Lexington Catholic isn't being played by the public schools. I know Guru didn't mean that but this whole thread is about Dunbar. Their are four other FCPS in the Lexington and they are not playing MBA and they seem to be dodging the bullit in this thread. I think Dunbar should be praised for what they are doing trying to play a great football team. Tates Creek and Dunbar played LCA in basketball this year so no one should be suprised that FCPS is playing a private school in football or basketball. This isn't that big of a deal. Now playing a powerhouse football team like MBA whether they are private or public is a big deal because they know how to play the game of football. I don't really care where you go to school.

MBA next year is better than Lexington Catholic we both know that. Beating Lexington Catholic from Dunbar's point of view is nice but that's locally and in the scheme of things means nothing. Scott County has a great shot at being the favorite when they play Lexington Catholic next year but if they win or lose it's not that big of a deal. Beating MBA sends a state message. Lexington Cathoilc is a great team but lets be real here for a second they are not to the MBA level yet. If Dunbar loses to MBA then big deal you could still be the 4A state champions like someone else did. :sssh:

With all due respect All Tell you act like if your were a head coach of one of these FCPS teams that playing Lexington Catholic would be your main goal. I think Dunbar wants a 4A state title or that is their goal and they are playing MBA which is a great game for them. Dunbar or Lexington Catholic's number one goal is not to play one another. Coaches, players and parents won't go around complaining publicly for a Catholic vs. FCPS game because it's a waste of time. Even if they do play it would be a very good gate but the following week they would either play another non district opponent or go on to their seperate districts. Both of these teams have bigger goals than playing one another. Yea, I agree it would be nice but it isn't that big of a deal.

What I don't like on here is this divided nature of public vs. private. Football is football no matter what school you go to. Dunbar's coaching staff has some ties with MBA and together they put a football game together. MBA doesn't think that since they are private they can't play a Lexington Public school. That's not how scheduling works. For years Louisville private schools have been bashing FCPS for playing the weak opponents and calling the FCPS every name in the book. Now Dunbar has stepped up and is playing a major opponent and you still put them down. I really don't think that is fair to players, coaches and parents of Dunbar.

Someone help with this one. Why is it that the Trinity fans seem to be so upset with this game? You are not Lexington Catholic or MBA. Do you not want Dunbar to play this game against MBA? Do you want Dunbar to play Lexington Catholic first? I'm not getting why you are so upset with this? Has Dunbar stolen some Trinity thunder by playing a team that you always play? Trinity has nothing to do with the boycott and Trinity is aloud to play any FCPS in the regular season. Why are you guys so upset?
