Then you need to tell Stu Silberman the Supierintendent the email he sent out to all the head coaches about 10 months saying "you can schedule Lexington Cathlolic" that he is wrong. Corbin tried to get Dunbar to play Lexington Catholic this year in their bowl game but both parties thought it would be stupid to have such a HUGE game at Corbin where Corbin gets the big money off of the crowd while Lexington Catholic and Dunbar get a usual bowl game check. Dunbar and Lexington Catholic are trying to get a home and home so they can profit off of the big crowd. Jim Franklin and myself scheduled Lexington Catholic in J.V. this past year along with our AD Mike Barren who is a big part of the KHSAA. I believe our AD would have told us the boycott is back on again.

One last time, the boycott is over. Fayette County Schools can play Lexington Catholic. Teams are trying to play Lexington Catholic just having problems with scheduling conflicts for next season. They will play in at most a couple of years.

1. Trinity 2. Male 3. Covington Catholic 4. Henry Clay 5. St. X Highlands is right on those 5 door step so the top 6 is what it should be really with everyone else a step below. I put St. X this low off of their playoff run. I think they got worse as the season went on. I couldn't see Henry Clay or Cov. Cath getting beat by Male as bad as Male did St. X Mercer County would be lucky to crack the top ten in 4A more or less top 5 in the whole state. I'm not trying to be mean but the 2A title game looked pretty bad to say it nice.

My guess is that it's the fibula. Fibula is a non weight barring bone and it's sometimes hard to even know that you have broken it. Tibia is the big bone in the leg, I think that is what Michael Bush broke. It is a much more difficult recovery that breaking the fibula.

I know Trinity plays Dunbar next year and I think they play Lafayette as well.

To be honest with you Trinity is not that balanced. I would say 50% of the time they are in an empty set with no runningbacks and that doesn't count the number of times they throw the football with a runningback in the backfield. We use the word balanced a lot to mean throwing the ball but that's not what it really means. I would not say that Trinity is balanced they are much more of a passing team than a running team.

At this point Dunbar had a transfer in from Memphis Tennessee who was a great football player and went through spring ball and he quit the team in May. This quote was in March I believe. Jureel Greene didn't play in any of these games. By the way that's a pretty good non district schedule looking back. State finalist and MBA. This quote was made a couple of months later talking about Scott County in the Henry Clay 2006 thread for this past season. I don't think Haddox was made ineligable at this time.

Trinity has the best quarterback in the state of Kentucky. They would be an above average team if Petrino was hurt or did not play. I agree Trinity's coaching staff is good but their special teams coaches and Beatty looked pretty bad kicking the ball to Minnifield and Jeter everytime. Trinity has a great quarterback and is great up front. Skill kids are good but not great.

Ryle isn't quite as athletic as Henry Clay but Gray is one heck of a runningback. Ryle is much more sound on defense than Henry Clay. Ryle could beat Henry Clay off of their style of run the ball and eating clock and solid defense. I've seen Herny Clay in person and Ryle in person as close as you can be and Ryle is a solid football team. Will not be a cake walk for Trinity.

100% correct. Trinity must work on their special teams though. That looked about as bad as Henry Clay's defense.

I don't know who Ryle's kick returners are but I would advise to put Gray and Murray back there because Trinity will kick to them no matter what. They did that tonight with Minnifield and Jeter from Henry Clay and it was a special team showcase. Trinity must improve in the special teams or they will have problems.

Only if the Trinity fans knew how much the little drummer boy for Trinity has enriched Son of Bear's life over the past few years :sssh:

#6 is their d end and wide receiver. He is more of a receiver than d end or that's the way he looks. He has had several Personal Fouls/Unsportsmanlike penalties on the year.

Highlands will play anyone and play them anywhere. Some of you don't get how hard it is for a GREAT football team to schedule games. They have to play whoever they can get because it is very difficult for them to get games from their winning reputation.

Does anyone know if the guy who beats that little drum in the stands for Trinity will be at the Trinity Henry Clay game Friday? I have a feeling that is a stupid question lol

I don't know I try to think what if Johnson Central played Lexington Catholic and I keep thinking in my head that they would beat LC much easier that Cov. Cath did. I don't think Johnson Central would have beaten Highlands though. I think it's pretty much a wash right now if I had to pick but Johnson Central is at home. I'm not gonna lie if I had to pick a "mild upset" for this week it would be this game with Cov. Cath getting knocked off. Cov. Cath has played every game on turf in the playoffs and they are going into a hostile enviornment off of turf against a smash mouth team. I remember the last time Highlands went off of turf in the playoffs they went to Bell County and was an inch away from losing to a far less talented football team. The same happend when Highlands went to Rock last. I know Cov. Cath isn't Highlands but there are some problems when turf teams go into grass fields. It will be a tough challenge for Cov. Cath, I really think so now.

I wouldn't dissagree with that but I would have to say beating maybe the worst Lexington Catholic team in recent years and I mean like 8 or 9 years in a score fest doesn't mean that they are head and shoulders over Johnson Central either.

I don't know who will win this game but I really think it will be very close. I think someone beating Rockcastle 29-7 is more impressive than some may think.
